+1 amazing. I was pulling my hair out on this issue after 6minutes leave alone 6 months! Your tip worked. In particular removing the “Mastering” plugin which seems quite intensive. This was on the stereo out bus.

Thanks for your video. Your solution did not fix the problem in my logic recordings. What fixed the problem for me was turning the Playback pre-roll in the Plug-in latancy settings.

I can't thank you enough! I am drummer/musician/producer. In my case the I have a powerful M Chip Mac/UAD Apollo X8p and nothing would solve the issue. I mix my session as I go along. In my case, I removed Fab Filter Pro L2 and everything started working just fine. Thank you very much James :) P.S. Anyone who still needs a limiter bypassed on the master can use Waves L2 without any issues.

Thanks. I found out that this issues is caused by any plugin that introduces latency. You can have them even on your channel or a mix group when recording - same issue. We just have to take them out of the whole recording chain.

Yo if someone is stupid like me, and nothing helped even the tips in the comments, try out setting the recording delay to zero( its a bar you can adjust) settings>audio>devices. I must've played around with it before and absolutely put it in a weird setting...

WOW !!!! I have been having a similar problem for over a year too. I have spent the last couple of days trying to troubleshoot it and it was driving me mad. I just tried this and it worked !!!!!!!! In my case the4 plugins weren't on the Master Bus but rather the Stereo Out but the result was the same. I would never have thought of this as the cause in a million years. Thanks for sharing 👍

They sadly discontinoued that tool... I will miss the right click,... didn't found an alternative to fix that "Loadr" and "Shortcut Buddy" is not the same as "LES" 😕

yeah you just confirmed it! 4 me i thought the same thing, less cpu power running will help latency close out all plugins and anything else running in the background i had trouble with vocals delay in monitoring drove me 🥜 🥜 REALLY WAS ABOUT TO UPGRADE TO AN M3 MACBOOK PRO GET THAT 32 BUFFER SIZE!!

A more easier way is turning low latency mode on. You would not need to remove your plugins. Go to the record option on the top taskbar, then turn low latency mode on and thats it.

MOTHER OF GOD. Man, I have been racking my brain on this for a year also. This totally fixed it and now it makes total sense - my master bus limiter was delaying the music to my ears which means I was in time with the delayed single, but delayed compared to the printed music. Thanks so much man.

Great video. You can make Keyboard Maestro not to steal keys. tip ; click on Macro Group where you have Live macros and on right hand side you have lot of options you will need . you can temorarily enable/disable macro group and more. if you need more info let me know and I will make video on it.

Hey man! I'm loving the video and tips. I noticed your monitors are turned on the side and I've read that the Yamaha HS series is actually designed to be used vertically, not horizontally like the old NS10's. Not sure if you've heard that or not but wanted to shout it out in case you hadn't.

Appreciate the love bro. I have hear that as well. Honestly, I do it just for aesthetic. When I mix I put on headphones (ATH -M50X) and only use those because that mixing environment is something Ive learned and they can go with me anywhere. The Yamahas are just for when Im having fun in my little studio. Appreciate the reaching out though on that!
