It's the same in the west. A lot of us celebrate Christmas without it being religious just because we enjoy the tradition. I think if anything a festival is good for getting people out of the house. Which sounds like a weird rational but it's always a fear of mine that as technology evolved and the world becomes more automated and convenient one day I just won't be able to justify living life.

Ginsan has a good soul and good attitude thanks to Shouyo raised him well. He will do what he must even it's caused him pain but he can cope with that. I also like Katsura,Shinpachi and Kagura as the wind beneath his wing. Kabugijo may a bit danger in real life but in Gintama world they all a low life with golden heart. Many gag stories are heart warming like Kagura's umbella,Ginsan help prisioner make manga,Sadaharu,Shinsengumi help Shinpachi write love letters.

When it comes to Kamon (Japanese crests) I like instead of choosing already made one, I like to *MAKE* them from the name/surname meaning or symbolic.

Can you create your own Kamon and what are the guidelines for designing your own Kamon besides the fact they all seem to be round or circular and symmetrical on at least one axis?

couple months ago i went to Osaka castle, playing gacha and get Sanada's Rokumonsen crest pin and i put it on my shirt collar (it looks good i guess). at the night, im hanging out in small izakaya at Kyoto, alone. i forgot im still wearing that pin and a fine japanese with a long coat ask me with low voice "kore wa, kakui (or something like that). are you support it?" and i feel stupid and ask with all my anime knowledge "he? kore, taihen desuka?" and try to remove it. im so scared down to my pants. some minutes later i realized that he's actualy just a nice guy that want to start a conversation with strangers and i spent my whole night chatting with him using japanese, english, and a lot of hand gestures. it's a great experience.😅

Idk, I wouldn’t use someone else’s existing Kamon. The Oda Family still exists, so why would I use theirs, for instance? I find that disrespectful to do so

I'd have to come up with one that unique for my family. Just using one thats pretty "public domain" doesn't seem right.

My coworker has this condition, and a few others, so i sent him your first video. His problem isn't as severe as yours, but he found your first video educational. I myself am not a swordsman, but i am a sword enthusiast and collector. I am 😥 that you can't practice all you want. But, i am 😁 that you refuse to give up! No matter what, just keep swinging ⚔️✌️

Experimentation and evolution are important for martial arts, so in my opinion, more progressive schools like Yushin Ryu will have an edge in that. The evolution of a martial art is carried out by those studying and pressure-testing it. But again, not all martial arts are intended for actual combative purposes. Every martial art has its purpose (fitness, self defense, sport, etc.) the importance lies in what you can learn from each discipline. A notable example is Aikido, which is as effective and evolved as Judo within its intended scope. issues arise when people attempt to apply it beyond its designed parameters.

Homophobia is like racism and sexism. It shouldn't be tolerated. Of course, every people has a right to do whatever they want but there should be always consequences. If a hotel doesn't allow people because of their sex, sexuality, skin colour than the guest's right to report. But we talk about Japan where the law is not in the favour of LGB people. More protests needed. I feel sorry for the Japanese homosexual people. I can't understand why Asian and African culture cannot change. I wouldn't say we should accept all changes (for example transpropaganda) but it's terrible many people are still disgusted or mock homosexuality. Most humans are pathetic!

Greetings from New York. How is applying hiding your money to pay for goods in every day situations? Like if you go to a grocery store to buy milk would you hand the cashier naked cash or would you hand them cash in an envelope? Does this apply to other places or just special circumstances? Thank you for your contact, Shogo. I discovered you on your main KZfaq. I came over here soon after. Thank you for teaching us all the wonderful content of Japanese culture. I’ve always been interested in your culture since I was in grade school. Thank you so much for your valuable lessons and wisdom. Keep it up.

This is interesting to hear now, after you just teamed up with/launched Yushinryu’s channel Shogo. I’m really looking forward to learning more about the three styles and would like to contribute somehow. Maybe in the future there would be a possibility and I would love to discuss things further. Maybe I’ll send you a dm. Thanks for posting and hope your recovery went well!

It may be an error in the automatic translation, but Jules Brunet was not German, but French. A French youtuber by the name of Christopher Lannes made a video about Jules Brunet. If you have the time and the desire to watch here is the title of the video: The TRUE story of the LAST SAMURAI Rather copy the title written in French of the video, the video is not in English, but in French, but there is the auto translation. Please note, my goal is not to denigrate your work, but to pick up the pieces of history.

As someone who’s practiced zen for a while, I really like your comments about it. I once heard someone say that “If you’re practicing Zen to accomplish something or because of a conceptual belief, it’s not Zen” and I’m not sure why but that made me feel so good. “There is nothing to teach” -Bodhi Dharma
