I was obsessed with this video when I was growing up. I remember pausing it at the beginning and waiting patiently for like 10 minutes for it to load completely, so I could watch it without interruptions.

Please post more of your dancers! With every new generation of dancers, this is pure inspiration. Plus it will get your school more traction, please get someone to do more of this and highlight your wonderful dancers in the school.

What a great clip of the young Marchilino Sambe!!! You can tell he was a ballet superstar in the making. Just saw him dancing with Francesca Hayward in Manon and they were both superb.

I am REALLY PLEASED to see that the racism in ballet, which should NEVER have existed in the first place, is FINALLY coming to an end!!!!! I know that things still have a LONG way to go until there is TRUE equality (which LITERALLY MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL!!!), but it's good to see that progress is being made at LONG LAST!!!! Just wanted to leave a comment here to say this is the first ever video I watched on KZfaq back when I was in school, and the inspiration for me to start ballet classes. It wasn't an easy task to find a ballet school in a developing country at a time when barely anyone in the country knew what ballet was. But my child self persisted in the days of slow internet to find a ballet class two hours away from me. Fast forward to now, I have completed my ballet training and have taught for a few years too. And I still continue to dance in my leisure time. I cannot emphasise enough how much nostalgia this video brings me and how grateful I am that Anaheim Ballet was one of the very first KZfaq channels to make ballet accessible to a global audience!

Started my ballet journey at the age of 31, I have been taking classes at ABS for 2 years now. As an adult, I am glad I found my dance paradise and a place where I can call it home! Never too old to start right?! 🥰

5 tours is no greater art than 3. It is a wrong direction to move towards technique, "circus production". Disturbing, uncivilized - sometimes ridiculous - when too long balancing and many, but not regular, rotations are at the expense of musicality.
