This is undeniably a wonderfully instructive video - life-changing, even - but I just realized it does NOT address how to cope with a door KNOB! Another video is desperately needed.

Nice video, but the reverse pivot turn as you enter the door is not to be trifled with...I've seen 3 men die attempting this maneuver.

Thanks to this video tutorial (which I have studied rigorously) I was able to successfully open around 80% of all the doors I encountered over the last two years.

since this video only teaches one door opening technique im still afraid to use it. You see, once i open a door that behaves like the one in the video, i can easily get through ... but then im basically locked behind it until some more experienced door opener comes along that knows how to handle pull doors that have their hinges on the right. Then there are push door with hinges on the left, and even pull doors with hinges on the left. I can only master 1/4 of all doors. And that only in one direction ... i feel so unprepared

You would be suprised how many people need this. Too often in apartments or hotels people open doors as loudly as possible it seems. Use the handles correctly and close quietly helps

Just what have your brought upon this world? If Fins learn how to open doors, they learn how to go outside and socialize with other people. The only thing that was keeping them back was how much they hated being near each other.

This is done to minimize social interaction. We have to master how to slip through any door as fast and smooth as possible to avoid neighbors. We also do it silently so nobody can hear our movement

I kinda feel like it only works if you can trust that opening the door is safe. Like, with shifting all the weight on left leg and pushing it forward like that. In my school, for example, when I was I kid, classrooms' doors were opening outside and there were always kids running through the halls between the lessons. And in my house, also, sometimes one had to be careful in case someone is passing by the door on the other side. I think this method doesn't work for me.
