If you are uploading to KZfaq in 1080p, you can get even more quality. 4:4:4 Chroma Subsampling and few more stops of dynamic range by recording in 4k then exporting to 1080p.

Just depends- I like the tail airs for traveling because they are small and have an internal power. I like my Bzb gear 4k in situations of permanent setups - one thing I try to stress on the channel is that it’s all about specific needs and scenarios and preferences.

@@MonteWeaverofficial for me personally since I do all the editing and recording I want the best quality with the most simplistic way to edit the videos. Being able to record on one memory card and switch with the remote the camera angles is why the tail air intrigues me. Do you feel thats enough to rock with it ? I currently us a hero 11 and pocket 2 as my 2 main cameras

This has been a really useful video if only in demonstrating the plosive response of their new mic, as you were hand holding it. Handling noise was very low (excellent), but there were regular plosives every 10-20 seconds, which were a lot more pronounced than other folks "reviewing" this mic would leave you to believe.

PTZ camera remote distance is about 30ft with direct line of sight - I’m don’t know of a wireless solution for a control unless you plan to setup everything over ndi

Can you explain what you mean by “don’t work in 4K” … it does have 4K capability but if your infrastructure doesn’t allow for 4K all the way through then you would be unable to maximize the output resolution.

Most every platform has the ability to record only. ECAMM and OBS (Free) are the 2 platforms that i use "record" for content. Riverside is also a great platform for recording only, especially if you have a virtual guest.

Hi Monte, just found your video. My house has a view of the harbour where 2-3 cruise ships arrive and depart daily, I'm about 3km away from the water up the hill and I'd like to set up a live 24/7 youtube & website channel so that family and friends can watch loved ones depart on their vacations. I can set the camera up indoors at the window and using my iphone it looks like a zoom of about 6X does the job to capture the big scenic view, but stronger would be great to zoom in to the decks of ships to see people. I was considering a basic static camcorder setup but the PTZ is intriguing as the AI function may allow me to track ships at closer range as they depart and also the possibility of controlling the camera remotely to accomodate requests to zoom in closer. This is intended to be a side hobby so I'm not spending a ton and my needs seem simple so around a thousand dollars is manageable. What would you recommend for a camera and setup? thank you!
