I went brushless with mine and so far it's been running great. But I stuck with a 2s system in mine so probably why I've been ok with the diffs not going. But we'll see, maybe I've been lucky so far. But I agree with you, it was already fun right out of the box.

Yeah 38mph is crazy, you should at least get in the 40s all stock. I didn't mess with my esc at all. Did you check your speed before the pinion change to see what you got stock? Also was you able to use the gear cover with a 25t pinion?

@@thischildishlifestyle yes I don’t understand it at all. I’m going to put a 18T on it just to see what it does. But yea you can fit the cover on, you just can’t screw if down, so I use black gorilla tape to cover the gap and keep sand and trash out.

Absolutely is enough for back flips and good air control. I think just changing the oil would have been enough for that. Wish I would've test ran it with just the oil change to know for sure. But it runs awesome now.

@@thischildishlifestyle I got a 23T pinion gear to replace the stock 18T one, lol, I don't even get the truck until tomorrow, but watching the reviews, I knew it was going to be a little slow, shrug.

@scottp.2995 oh your really gearing up 😯 I just went up to a 20t pinion lol. Gotta let me know how that works out for you. You may have trouble putting the cover over the gears back on without maybe letting the pinion shave it down for you lol. But definitely let me know how that works out.

Actually redcat was one of the first to release a large scale truck with the rampage monster truck back before arrma or traxxas... not sure about losi since they've had the 1/5th scale baja for a very long time now. But I also had the rampage xbe buggy from redcat that was a 1/5th scale electric buggy. So they have been doing it for a long time but allot of people look past redcat because they still think they are cheap rc's from years ago. @@thischildishlifestyle nice, under the right conditions you probably could squeeze 50mph out of it, the most I ever got out of the Xmaxx was 48 mph, these two are pretty close then.
