Tiny keys, non-starter for me! May as well hook up a laptop to the million regular size key tiny keyboards, and yes, it's a bit extra... but worth it for normal hands! lol

So, having gone through all that off/on business to get that cool piano sound, do you then LOSE the sound if you choose any other? That’s a bit sneaky of Yamaha just to use it ‘on the sly’ as it were. REALLY love this demo video Aimee. I’ve been a pro all my life and I have to say I LOVE your keyboard feel. You are a total natural and very talented. Great singing voice too. Wish I could come and hear you live but….. SO impressed by the way you’ve mastered this little keyboard. Great job!!! Those keys are definitely NOT full size, but then that would kinda defeat the object wouldn’t it?

Thank you so much for your nice comment. Yes you will lose the piano sound as soon as you switch away from it. Some people in the comments have made guesses as to why Yamaha did it this way, but I don’t know which guess is correct. I hope you can make it down sometime to see a show. Keep checking my website to know the dates.

Enjoyed this. A fantastic little guy. Agree, if they would add just a few organ sounds with Leslie FX all-in one it would be unstoppable. PS Your voice is wonderful. Cheers.

I was in Orlando in January. Saw this little axe in Sam Ash, almost grabbed it, but $450 (aprox.) was a little too steep for me then. Stayed with a Keylaunch mini. Loved your video and your talking! U r so natural and very talented. ❤

I bought the full series DX, CP, YC, CS between 2015 - 2019 and still rate them the best of all. The keybeds are exceptional and there is no problem with the mini keys. If technology had allowed this spacing 300 years ago it would be the standard now. Great story and video! OBTW I connect them to Yamaha / Soundmondo and can load and save my patches. I even bought the Reface Strap Kit and look like DEVO.

I cannot say enough great things about that little CP! I have had that thing for almost 5 years and I use it so much, on almost everything. I even use the effects with the Wurly and delay modulation to add some cool modulations and Radiohead-esque little flourishes. I really doubt that any company will ever put out that many voices including that many built effects (which all sound superb) with a similar price point. We have a true treasure within this thing! So glad you’re able to use and enjoy it. Also, the portability (including battery power) is unmatched for what you’re able to do with it! ❤

Love the vocals, perfect for the music/song genre of choice, especially the more jazz based works. Great duo. I wish I could come to watch you perform, great keyboard and duo with guitar. Cheers.

I think that what you said is this: If the mastery is in your hands then your heart can make use of it. If not, we run into boundaries sooner. There is an awful lot to master. As an amateur trumpet player, I hear things that I want to do, but cannot. But I keep trying. So much more to learn.

She looks like a grown up version of Tracy Gold (the kid in the 80s TV show Growing Pains. He (the guitar player) looks like the lead singer of the 70s punk group The Sex Pistols Johnny Rotten. It's good to finally see Tracy and Johnny together on a KZfaq video.

For those wondering what song is she playing at 3:32, it's the theme song to the TV show Sanford and Son from the 1970s. Your welcome.

I found this video last night and started searching this line. Although I like the CP, Sweetwater was having a sale on the DX so I picked one up for 249$ I know absolutely nothing about keys and synths but all this seems so fun. I'll have to learn how to hook guitar pedals to it and probably a simple drum machine. I bet my Chase Bliss Mood...Cloudburst and Brigadier will sound fantastic with this. Thanks Amy😊
