can I ask, I just bought a double 9 set. How do you determine which player goes first? Is it highest double? I read that some play by drawing dominoes from the unused 15 in the boneyard and the player with the highest amount of dots or pips goes first and does not have to start with a double. Thanks for any info!

@@bowser1299 that is correct. you start the game by drawing dominoes from the unused 15 in the boneyard and the player with the highest amount of dots goes first and does not have to start with a double but usually the strategy is to start with your highest double. after that, whichever team wins the round goes first on the next round. first team to reach 150 or 200 points wins the game depending on how many points you want to make it to .
