I literally did exactly the same thing this evening. I plugged up a 20,000 mAh battery and a Ring indoor camera 2nd Gen (the small one) to see what the power draw was. It was steady after initializing around 140 mA, it went up and down slightly depending on motion capture or live-view. I previously ran this setup for over 5 days. Doing the math, it now makes sense.. a 20,000 mAh battery with a 140 mA draw works out to 142 hours of run time, or around 5.95 days. I did turn off the IR emitters on the Ring Camera, and backed off on other stuff like motion capture, which probably decreased the draw. If you hooked up a solar panel to the battery input port you could probably run the camera indefinitely. Ring has all this already, still fun just to try it and do the math.

the camera requires 2.4 so your router needs to support it. try pairing the camera near your router and then moving it. if you are too far away it may not stay connected. I also found their chat support to be very good.

You need to add matter to other platforms first then add to homey....homey doesn't give a matter share code in the software!!! And no, they do not give you the ethernet adapter. You have to purchase that separate from the $400 you just spent. Oh, in your case you didn't spend a goddamn dime...
@Appmyhome
@Appmyhome 8 күн бұрын
You are correct, Homey Pro 2023 does not provide a matter share code at this time unfortunately. If you want to have the matter device on more than one platform, you do need to pair on the other platform first. As for ethernet, homey pro 2023 does work well over Wi-Fi which is currently how we have ours setup.

I purchased this probe yesterday. I went to their web site and all I got was a big sales pitch to buy the thing. I finally had to go to the chat mode to find access to the app. They sent me a link and I down loaded the app and installed it. Then more furtration set it. I managed to link the probe to my cell phone but can not access the cook programing. All I can do is read the meat temp and the ambient temp. When I tap the cook set up It goes to the instruction videos. Total pain in the a** HOW DO I ACCESS THE COOK SETTINGS? PISS POOR PROGRAMING!
@Appmyhome
@Appmyhome 21 күн бұрын
first make sure the probe is out of the case. make sure the green light is on in the case. then you should see the product go from dimmed out to full bright. once you click on the product graphic you should see Set Up Cook. Click that and select the type of meat and so forth. Remember, the case needs to be near the probe for the phone to connect. lets us know if this helps.

Okay, I have to share this with you because we're like printer bros now: this is NOT a laser printer, it's an LED printer. I was suspicion of the "laser like quality" verbiage in the product marketing. If it's a laser printer why the obfuscation? Why not just say it's a laser printer? And I was right! This, and many like it, are NOT laser printers, they're LED printers. It's a marketing thing. Everyone knows what a laser printer is but no one except old people like me remember LED printers. Ironically LED printers are economically better: drastically improved longevity, much lower product cost, and lower maintenance. But it's not a laser printer. And I don't care. It's a shame they have to be so deceptive in marketing since printer makers already have such a terrible reputation. I just had to share this with someone and my cat just doesn't seem to care no matter how many times I explain the differences.
@Appmyhome
@Appmyhome 28 күн бұрын
That is why we say “laser like”. We almost didn’t get it until we researched more. We can say the output is really good.
@ajs3d106
@ajs3d106 3 күн бұрын
Thanks for this. I was wondering what that was all about. Vehicle manufacturers wouldn't typically highlight "... can totally achieve highway speeds..." since that's kind of a default function of the product. Presenting a laser printer that's capable of "laser quality" printing tossed a big red flag. I was like, "Well, it's a laser printer, right? Why wouldn't it be able to achieve laser quality printing!". lol. And now I'm off to research what LED printers actually are and why achieving laser quality is such an obviously big deal for them. Thank you.

When the Homebase 3 stops, you have no security devices recorded. when you are on holiday, there is no way to reactivate your homebase 3.
@Appmyhome
@Appmyhome 28 күн бұрын
This is one issue with local recording to a single box, though keep in mind there are other devices in the chain that if they stop, like your router, will prevent recording. We use a digital loggers power strip that can sense if the internet is down and cycle power on a device. You could also put a smart plug on the homebase and have it cycle power every night or on demand remotely. Keep in mind recording to the cloud won't help if your internet is down, or the power to your home is off. Of course aside from the power issue, if you just record to the individual camera, when the network is back up you should be able to retrieve. That's the choice you need to make when defining your camera solution.

@@Appmyhome I literally just bought this printer, like five minutes ago. Refills are expensive at $150, on average, and I saw some say "with chip" so do you have any idea what that means? I'm furiously googling now... Found it, the ones without chips require you to remove "the chip" from the original cartridges and the ones with chips don't. Sounds legit.

I can see why you ask. keep in mind each color will expire at different times depending on the colors in your prints. Brother obviously are the most cost but then if you get the off brand you would risk issues as brother of course points out. like I said since this review we haven’t yet replaced any of the cartridges.

That is so interesting. I wonder what would cause it to use so much water. As you see we have tile too but not as smooth as yours. Maybe the sensor isn’t reading the floor type correct. @Appmyhome

the robot holds the dirt inside the small water and dust bin at the back of the unit. Then when it docks it sucks out the dirt back thru the bottom of the robot where the rollers are. It's a pretty cool design. The dirt is pulled out into that tower inside a vacuum bag. The bin at the back of the robot is removable so you can add water for mopping.

@Appmyhome
@Appmyhome Ай бұрын
You only need the ethernet connection when setting up the S380. Afterword you can disconnect the ethernet and just use WiFi. They walk you through this in Settings->General->Connection. One thing when you do pair the cameras, when they say have the camera close to the Homebase make sure you are close. Then you can install them where you want them.

I bought the same chair yesterday from Staples for 65 percent off. But when I was assembling it I ran into an issue. The top right socket that bolts the back of the chair to the base wasn't fully tapped. The bolt would go in perfectly fine for 2 turns and then it would stop. I thought it was just the thread locker but after reefing on the bolt and backing it in and out to make sure it wasn't cross threaded I realized that the socket was defective. I drove back today and exchanged it for another one but when I tried to assemble this one I had another issue. The manufacturer gave me two right side arm rests instead of a right and a left. I was about to take it back again and just ask for a pre assembled model but I realized that the arm rests were made with identical parts. The manufacturer just put the top part of the rest on backwards. I took it apart and spun it 180 degrees and while I was there I cut up some of the packing foam and stuffed it in between the hight adjustment rails to get rid of the slop in the mechanism. I did the foam trick to the other rest as well. So far I'm happy with the chair. It's great quality for the price. Just wish the manufacturer had better quality control.

The most important part of this inflators is what adapters are used and in what order on the schrader, presta valve etc. None of these inflator manuals describe nor show this. And it is not intuative. I am a life-long bicyclist and I can`t figure it out. Just today I bought a Sakaki inflator, highly rated but manual gets no clues of how to adapt the end of the hose to the schrader value or any other. A close up picture of this would be a world-wide service. Thank--you for any assistance

hi agree sometimes it is confusing. in this case there was a brass tip threaded on one end and the other has an o ring inside. that is the side you put over the shrader. just screw in the tip to the hose.
