I have a Johnson 2 horse 2 stroke forward only Moyer and I popped out the drive shaft is it easy to put back in. Thanks for all the help. How it popped out was I was an idiot and put in oil in the propeller and did not put the shaft back together in the motor lol. Ps please be easy on me I'm learning

Mine doesnt leak from the large cap, it leaks from the small drinking cap. Theres no gasket on it, which i feel is a poor design flaw.

Yep. I found this after comming downstairs this morning to find about a gallon of water on my table and floor. The leak was massive. And yes, the plug was tight. I will look for a thin silocone washer to see of that seals it up. Like having a Porsche 930 with a VW Bug engine.

umm no. the higher pressure around 2500 rpm simply pushes the t stat off its seat, making the t stat inside irrelevant accept at under around 1800 rpm. the water doesnt "flow at different spots"! it simply dumps cold water after it comes off its seat. not difficult to understand. the newer style of these with the diaphram is basically the same way, just more refined.
