I wanted to see the pedal settings for the tremolo effect. It almost sounds like an Arpegiater.

Learn to "play the piano". In playing the piano all ten fingers are in motion; it won't do to move some fingers only and not others. But if all ten fingers press down at once, there is no melody. To produce good music, the ten fingers should move rhythmically and in co-ordination. A Party committee should keep a firm grasp on its central task and at the same time, around the central task, it should unfold the work in other fields. At present, we have to take care of many fields; we must look after the work in all the areas, armed units and departments, and not give all our attention to a few problems, to the exclusion of others. Wherever there is a problem, we must put our finger on it, and this is a method we must master. Some play the piano well and some badly, and there is a great difference in the melodies they produce. Members of Party committees must learn to "play the piano" well. -Mao

This is such a great tutorial. I've had a half baked version of this tune kicking about the auld repertoire for years, and you've helped shave off the uglier edges and refine it to something almost beautiful. Liked & subscribed. Thank you!

Thanks for the great tutorial. I just saw Johnny Marr live for the second time this week, having only got into his new music and The Smiths back catalogue in recent years, and I wanted to learn some of these great songs and riffs. This made ‘Big Mouth’ a cake walk - though I doubt I’ll ever play it quite like Johnny!

Great tune. Great description. Succinct and to the point. Keep it up. Great to find you. I've found only one dude that instructs guitar, which is what I want to play. I don't want to learn music, I want to learn guitar. Nice to see a girl(no offense meant) instructing . Keep it coming because I just subscribed to your site. 😊

Good stuff. The 'nee - awww' ( !) slide bit needs a specially tuned guitar if I'm not mistaken. Saw the Smyths recently, they had pre recorded that bit as obviously one guitarist can't play both bits simultaneously live. If I ever need walk on music, this is going to be it !

Still the best resource for learning all these Smiths songs! Thank you so much for all these videos. Smiths songs are so hard because of all the guitar layers on the records. And also because they're just tricky to play, a lot of the time. I know these videos were made quite a while ago, but you really did a great job with them.

Interesting to see the different ways this riff is played by different tutorials. Yours is the same as I worked out with a student so I'm sticking with it. That first chord throws me though. D7#9 according to most but doesn't sound quite right to me. It has a "Hard Day's Night" ambiguity to it. Thanks for sharing :)
