Anime isn’t supposed to be something your parental figures assign to you. And. There has to be a way to get the kids to watch this series anyway.

In index side of the story the series is much more fun reading than watching. There is this charm to reading light novel that sometimes or mosr of the time are taken away when its adapted into an anime. We rarely get something good when a light novel series is adapted into an anime but with the case with index is, it is not bad but probably decent or below that I guess. Back then I was more confuse when watching than first time reading the series. In my opinion at least the narration of the series as a light novel is one of the charm i find entertaining. The narration completes the information without showing much as it is that format as for the jokes, dialogue, etc the narration explains it more better than in the anime did. As for the anime it does show what is describe in the novel, but to me I find that part of the problem. To me showing it than describing what is said, is too fast. What I meant by this is it just happens instantly. The mystery and suspense are better in a written format ( i my opinion at least ) and it engages the reader to imagine what said and done rather than show, and to me that is more fun plus entertaining. There at least some good things to both sides like the OST, voice actresses, op and ed song when talking about the anime. While the light has that complete information, how readers perceived what they read and engagement towards that imagination. But if comparing both the LN win most of the time cause truly matters are the story and the LN has more than and outweighs more than the anime (most of the time they cut off some info, I mean typical for LN adaption for anime) I know this video is mainly focused on the anime as a franchise than the novel itself, but if I were to criticize the title I think railgun is just more to be called successful than the original anime franchise which is index, railgun is more popular as an anime compared to that of the original which is more popular as a light novel. The index anime has failed in some aspects compare to that of railgun which completely adapts the story since it is in a manga format than a light novel which harder, there is also the popularity of the moe stuff that is prominent in s1, the voice actresses, animation and visuals, the songs for the op and ed. Overall the railgun anime is more successful than the original.

My first 3 anime in order were Pokémon Dbz and Zatch bell although flawed still holds a soft spot for me as well

Oh, boy, if there was ever a really bad time to try marketing "Nausicaa" to the U.S., it was... well, anytime before the year 2000, really prior to that, U.S. film studios just assumed American movie goers weren't interested in female leads and would actively go out of their way to always focus on the men in the marketing. So the localizers felt they had to lie about what this film was about in the advertising. So, I'm not surprised this bombed hard.

i loved its aesthetic so much. i was kinda coining it as a combo of pokemon & db(z) at the time & trying to get all my friends from the time into it. then i saw episode 11/12 with koko & zofis & i then became just head-over-heels for the series unlike anything i had felt toward before then. nowadays, im all about shonens like one piece, hunterxhunter, jojo & beastars but i might do a video series where i read the zatch/gash bell manga soon, like, in a coming week or even quicker.

I am now a 51yr old black man - The least likely person to COMPLETELY relate to Watamote. Back in 1987, I was the most awkward, Anime watching, social anxiety having, bathroom-stall-lunch-eating, inner-scream black teenager on Earth. If girls spoke to me, I mumbled then ran away in fear just like Watamote. At school I drew manga all day||| before I knew what Manga was (a mash-up of STAR TREK and METROID; only I drew Samus Aran as a 7'6" Hawaiian man with a traditional Mahiole mohawk who played bass guitar before I found out Samus was a girl! *mind blown btw*). I hid in a bathroom stall during lunch to avoid everyone for four freakin years. ----I LOVE WATAMOTE as a 51yr old Iraq Veteran.😍😍🥰💘

I loved Zatch Bell more than the Big Three (Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece). It just made me sad that they stopped dubbing the anime halfway through its run, and the anime never had a satisfying ending.

I wouldn't actually be able to say what my first anime was. Between things like Pokemon, Digimon, Yugioh, Beyblade, Bakugan, Naruto, DBZ, etc, it'd be one of those. But the first show I actually knew was 'Anime' before getting into it was probably Needless, a show my friend tried to get me into. I was one of those who thought Anime was only magical girl stuff and refused to watch it. Needless to say, pun intended, I loved the show and that recommendation is what got me into anime with the next one I watched I believe being Love Hina.

Just finished the anime, now im thinking of picking up the manga, thanks for the video I wanna add that tomoko could be also classified as a hikikomori type of character so it really dives into a deep psychological conundrum Similar to omori (the game) but in a more lighthearted way if im being honest

I love this anime and just want to say this. When Gash and Kiyomaro fight Nazo Nazo Hakase or Riddle professor I think, there was a part where he hints at how the spell books work. Just relying on a book is not the way to go. It's all within you to find the truth or your true potential. Just like life. Growing up Christian it really hit hard. I find it can be a metaphor for religion or dogmas in the world. Many people lose themselves relying on the Holy Bible for their spiritual support, but in fact it's within us to make those changes, to "unlock" new "spells" for us in our lives. I thought it was thought provoking. I would love to talk to the artist one day about the ideas he had for this amazing series.

The only problem I have with Zatch Bell is that the dissatisfying ending. After beating Faudo the show ended with Gash and Brago fighting but didnt come to the conclusion of who became the demon king

LOVE it BUT the VIZ media Dub was only 75 episodes long 100 DVD episodes where made BUT that still left 50 Episodes that didn't get a English dub sadly I believe the writer of this anime kind of left the Business so a redub with ALL 150 episodes in English redubbed by VIZ media since their the ones that dubbed the first 75 originally is pretty much not likely.

When Zatch met Kolulu and promised to become a righteous king and end the battle for Momodo King, I was hooked. He wasnt like Ash looking to be the very best like no one ever was, or Luffy looking to be Pirate King, or Goku wanting to be as strong as he can be, to overcome and surpass his limits, which one can say is done out of ego or self interest, he wanted to become king to end the violence wrought by a war that forced kind and pacifistic Mamodo like Kolulu to become monsters against their will. I mean, look what happened between Tia and Maruss? This war, this battle, had to stop, and Zatch would strive to be the last one standing to ensure this.

Zatch Bell has been and always will be my favourite shonen of all time. Despite the fact that I watched it as a pre teen and absolutely adored it, even now as an adult I'm happily on my third rewatch of the series to catch up for the second manga (having already read the first once too lol). It's just got this sheer perfect blend of heart, power dynamics, style and creativity that surpasses most of the top contemporary shonen imo. The characters and soundtracks are absolutely iconic and the battles like Zatch vs Bari/Zeon still get me riled up like no other! I am literally so happy to belong to an era where this series is still in continuation XD
