I know I never watched the live shows, but one of the things that kept me constantly coming back to SCQS was the simple fact that I never knew what to expect. There may have been dull moments and a lot of things prevented from being better by technical difficulties (you still have yet to upload Juan's garbage can commercial without the stuttering), and maybe a few lame running gags, and Juan wasn't always there, and JT wasn't always there, and I still don't understand Brian's hat quest... What was I saying? Oh yeah; I'll miss this show and hope you guys the best while you rebrand or whatever it is you're doing.

So for our 10th wedding anniversary, we had just finished moving and were still unpacking. My wife decided to plan a game night on the Friday when the anniversary was on that Thursday. I was so busy trying to lighting up and the house in order while still unpacking that I didn't notice it was our anniversary until my mom text me the next day. I mentioned it to my wife because I figured she forgot to and she said "No; I remembered. I just didn't want to say anything." Then it snowed really bad and the game night was cancelled. And this is why no one writes "middle-of-the-relationship" songs, because they're ain't no one wanting to keep that emotional moment alive.

The Amish in Central Illinois celebrate Christmas right along with everyone else and then celebrate "Ephiphany" (they call it "Old Christmas") on January 6th. They are NOT allowed to work on that day. They are, however, allowed to make fun of the former Amish who think they should get that day off too even if it's not an official work holiday recognized by their employer.

I can't tell when I'm sick either. It's not a mom thing: I think I've thrown up once in my life and even when I feel nauseous I can't. The brilliant thing about never feeling sick until I think about it though is that if I want to take a sick day, I can always talk myself into it. This ability is not as helpful now that I'm working from home, which is probably why more men will notice when they're sick.

Thank you, Cliquers, for making the the Christmas tree animation possible.

And a possibly better Jimmy Stewart Christmas movie is The Shop Around the Corner (semi-remade as the less funny, less charming You've Got Mail). In keeping with the Christmas theme, next time, please read the names of the cliquers in the style of the Grinch's speech about Christmas coming, "without packages, boxes or tags."

Irrelevant observation: despite the quick move to menomenah- references (which I probably misspelled), Hans Feine named an actual town--Menominee Falls is a town in Wisconsin.

In an internet, content saturated age, I can believe that some people don't have an inner monologue as every waking thought is consumed by said content. As someone whose inner monologue sounds like a married couple arguing interrupted by some random neighbor kid shooting out the windows with a slingshot, I can understand this temptation. And how do you picture a "cool, crisp, autumn day"? Easy: image of a sidewalk fading into a distant sunrise obscured by trees on either side of the path, with a multitude of color in the leaves and the sky, some crunchy leaves covering the green grass, many still in the sky, and many still on the trees.

Aside from this bit being very funny, I'm really more interested in knowing exactly what kind of English he is using here and whether his description is accurate? Does anybody know? Could it be Old English, Middle Ancient English, Archaic Germanic Contemporary Middle English, or Anglo-Germanic Old Elizabethan Middle Saxon Modern English? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
