You should not play the gog cut. It is widely hated withing the Daggerfall community, Daggerfall Unity's creator himself recommends it not to be played. Pro tips: -have stats only devided at 10 - strength(at 5), speed & int(doesn't matter) are exceptions - this is when you get benefit out of them - ex. agi at 59 is the same as agi at 50 -speed is king in melee combat, next strength -full mage isn't an option - you need battlemage - in fact battlemage/spellsword/anything using both spells & arms is the only way to trully play the game - esp for 1st time -use special adv/disadv when creating char, but watchout for the dagger - try to keep it around avg - give yourslef more hp there too -wpn material is the most important thing - iron gives -10 to hit so better not use it at all for wpns - get the ebony dagger from the starting questions - you can kill all enemies in the 1st dungeon with it :)

I can’t get out of this tutorial. I’m playing a full mage. My dagger seems to hit once every 15 swings. I can cast shock once which isn’t enough to kill anything.

This is awesome and encouraging to hear from Bret, one of my favorite wrestlers. I’ve gone back and forth many times on whether I should quit smoking weed or not. but Bret is absolutely right. It keeps one out of trouble and no other drugs are needed. alcohol and prescription drugs are so much worse, but people are so quick to jump on the bandwagon of bashing people who smoke weed. I really like RVD’s takes on weed as well. He has helped inspire me to live authentically and be an independent thinker. Weed helps lift my spirits to work out, do chores, and find some joy in a world that can be pretty dark at times. It’s not a perfect drug by any means. the worst part is not wanting to leave the house or go to social events, but it’s usually to avoid being with people who don’t really accept me for who I am.

Sorry, frustrated, but "equip things with better stats" is obvious, and the map is not intimidating (it's the coolest thing about the game so far). I understand it's rolling to-hit. I have no way of knowing whether it's even doing a hit roll though, or if I'm aiming incorrectly. The video feels like it's trying to make it baby mode, but yet not really addressing the issue other than the understanding that "yes, it's like that". This no-hit mechanic is really not fun. At the very least I need feedback to know it's a rolled miss, and not aimed wrong, and the hp bars aren't a thing without mods, or even WITH mods with it installed, because it's just not working even though installed, but that's a separate issue. Edit: I got it, I installed a different hp bar mod, and it shows "miss" when rolling a miss. So much better... I can see when it's counting or not now. (The pack I installed came with an hp bar mod that wasn't working) Edit 2: So what I was missing was that it doesn't attack when you click, but a little while after. I was clicking and moving away, but that just means it will never hit because the attack registers afterwards.

Often it’s better to just run past some enemies e.g if you see a green spider early on

Run when the enemy gives a combo attacks you can run backwards too

Great vid! I'm just getting into Daggerfall Unity and playing on Steam Deck. So far a great experience, and it is so much more rewarding compared to the button-mashing combat of some newer games. A few of the enemies in this staring dungeon, I just ran away from and ended up finding the exit without a fight.

You are pushing an envelope for real. I dont know many ppls who have such a passion for commentating wrestling matches as you do. And the ability to back it up. I always like to learn the wrestling moves names and mechanics behind them, but you are on the whole another plane with that encyclopedic knowledge. I dont watch wrestling much nowadays besides 4+ stsr matches that I know would have the quality ring work and pauchology. Dont care about angles and storylines, so good play-by-play is always appreciated to give you some hints on whats going on with these new techniques and if that was a signature or finisher moves of said wrestlers. We are still waiting for Throwdown on KoC 2 or ASPW 3 or Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 engine. Fire Pro with all these new gameplay (esp chain wrestling) would do as well, but I doubt you have it installed in that state. New WWE game has very nice simulation capabolities, but you have to k ow how to get them spots and setups.
