I was wondering if you lost one of those mix veggies flashers over the weekend with a fly on it I hooked up to some weighted steel line and that same looking flasher on Sunday with a fish at the end of the line

@@mdyk9206 - Jon Sipko lost one on a WS. I know he’d love to have it back. You can find him on Facebook or under Legend Sportfishing Guide service.

Was it a big fish? Jon told me it was a tank… ha ha
@MrDykyy3 күн бұрын
That fish wasn’t A monster but a solid just over 20 The weirdest thing is that it ripped the micro swivel that was attached to the backing line.I mean the metal itself give up before anything else. And it was still alive and strong on Sunday around 9am Pulling all that WS with her.
@jsipko3 күн бұрын
That is absolutely unreal! Cause it happened before 7am betwen bluffers and the filtration. When i got the line in, the bulk of the knot was still there so i wondered if rhe swivel failed..

Thanks for another great report. Fished Oakville harbour tracing the NE contours to the Petro pier. Ranges 90-170 with most coming from 140, 69 surface temps and 60ish at the ball (70-80 fow mostly) if that can be believed. Fishhawk was malfunctioning and saying 03.7 ball temp most of the day flashing an occasional 60 temp. Tried 4 set of batteries over a few trips... hmmm. All spoon bite, mostly riggers. 11 for 12 by noon with the biggest being a 14lb rainbow. Oakville fishes very differently from Bluffers.

Thanks Marc! Cobourg for me fri the 12th afternoon, very slow. Trolled 150ft and went 2 for 3. 14lb and 21lb both on flasher + meat, both on riggers, 2 hits at 140 down 1 hit at 101. Hardly marked a fish out there. Good fishing!

Love the videos Capt Marc. Thanks for the help. Never hear much about attractors mixed with spoons. Is that right? Usually you mention flashers fly and meat rigs with rotator but what about spoons? Just run them alone? Or with some kind of attraction. I do a little of both but I have a small boat , wondering if it's worth putting spoons down without rotator or wasting my time. Thanks again and looking forward to the next report. Dan from VT

Hey Mark, thanks for the info because most to all fishermen never take the time to wash there spoons either for killing bad scents or restoring the flash, one question I have spoon related is do you troll spoons mainly naked or do you prefer a flasher? If a flasher what leader length do you prefer? Thanks

Just got into salmon fishing a few years ago and no pun intended I am hooked!!! I’ve purchased some of your flashers, flys, spoons and meat heads from your site and have had great success. I can’t thank you enough for all the work you put forth into informing us fellow fishermen with your daily updates and informational videos.
