LITTERMATE SYNDROME IS REAL and you need to avoid it at all costs. I speak from experience. I took on 4 littermates with the agreement that 2-3 of them would be adopted out by their previous owner. Almost 2 years later, I have 3 littermates: 1/2 German Shepherd, 1/2 Dutch Shepherd, one of which has many of the personality traits of a Belgian Malinois. I didn't learn about the syndrome until they were a year old. Due to many circumstances beyond my control, I was not able to work with them as individually as I knew I needed. Looking back, I should have ensured that at the very least 1 of them got adopted out. Now, I'm stubborn and want to resolve this issue. When you have 330 lbs of littermate syndrome, you are in trouble for sure. I am determined to resolve this issue, then write a book. LOL I just traveled with them from AZ to NC in a van over 4 days/nights. Long story, but we all survived and no one got hurt. Kids, please do not do this at home.

We have a new puppy and I've been watching lots of videos on this topic. I have to say, I like yours the best. In other videos the puppies already seem to be partially trained, but this one gave me just what I was looking for, a puppy who really hasn't experienced a leash before. I think I'll be watching this a few more times before trying it with our guy. Thanks for the video.

3:56 Always teach your dogs how to walk on a leash. Being able to control a powerful dog through a leash without a struggle is the single best thing you can do to establish and re-establish stability in a pack. This video is great, and very real-world.

My dog that fights the worst does NOT want to fight . The fight is either over food territory or not wanting him near me. Binkie the one that hurts the other dog wants to really show him if he doesn't stop he will hurt him ..but Alfie no matter how hurt he is he will fight over me ...I've separated them for a day . Then let him back in I can see the trigger points ....

What ppl don’t understand is predators eat the ENTIRE insides of their prey. Prey eat vegetables/greens etc but PREdigested, which is why dogs will have trouble with many vegetables and need probiotics or something added to help break down the greens/vegetables.

So one of the best looking my bully has been has been with the Taste of the Wild the salmon flavor but my dog stank to high heaven! His poops were great, his coat and energy but man…he stank SO bad. 🥲 Does anyone have any tips on how I can still use that kibble but how much wet food I can add (I eventually want to transition to raw he’s 6 months right now) in order to help him not to smell like tuna butthole?

My unneutered 4 yo bully keeps humping his bed that I got hi. how do I stop him from getting freaky with his bed every time I leave him? It's so bad that if I have him on the bed he's breathing HEAVY like a total creep about to get it on without consent. I tried smakcing his butt, I tried telling NO, but he just keeps trying.

I've always tried to explain this to people about the behavioral issues that I have with a puppy I kept out of a litter and its mother. I've always put it, theres still a little bit of an element of wild in there.... She always looks to her mother for cues, which interesting enough, her mom has taught he some tricks that I showed the mother to do, but She acts very aggressive towards other dogs, and sometimes even people they dont know. But now I'm dealing with infighting, and the little one sees red when they scrap, I myself have been to the hospital 3 times from breaking up their fights, and Ive had experience with breaking up dog fight successfully virtually all my life growing up with a chow and two wired hair fox terriers. but these two it gets scary... I have 5 large dogs. I feel like I bit off more than I can chew here. I love all 5 of them and they freely give me alpha status and control as their leader. That's the plus side to this. The bad thing is that ts ack mentality I guess in my opinion. And yesterday my male 6yr old German shepherd Max went too far in his picking on and bullying/hurting trying to ensure his 2nd in command status in our pack. I have an 11month old Caucasian Ovcharka Aristotle who had just had too much. I did have subtle signs that Ari was going to maybe challenge Max one day as he is the most head strong just stubborn and independent hard to train puppy I've ever had. Yesterday they fought. I freaked out. I did everything wrong. I got them apart finally and Max didn't win this one. There's been other fights he has "won" in his mind. A rescue shepherd he pushed too far one day yrs ago that snapped and I had to relocate Jake there was no reintroducing them at that point they literally wanted the other one to die. As it came to the fight yesterday I had zero control over either and was helpless and scared. Still am. I haventlet them even look at each other yet. I'm still scared. Max is a huge Shepard and dog aggressive so I put a muzzle on him if there's a chance of being out around other dogs. I've never really had control over him or his anger and aggression I just muzzle it. He's a 160lb GShepherd. The problem now is that Ari is a young 160lb and growing Caucasian Shepard and his strength and ability is far from anything I've ever dealt with. He is uncontrollable and I haven't been able to contain him. He has destroyed doors and metal kennels to my shock and discomfort and always gets loose somehow. Both of these dogs are bigger than me in body weight alone. I love them both. They both love me dearly. Idk what my next move here should be. I thought about leashes and muzzles to reintroduce but I can't shake the thought of them seeing each other and wanting to just finish it, hating each other and then getting to close and with paws or whatever trying to fight again one releasing the others muzzle. And I think that would be devastating in every way. I feel I can control my dogs..eventually.. but Idk how to establish the full control in the first place comfortably. Max does listen fairly well except if he's high alert/aggression and fighting. It's like the closer I've gotten the more aggressive he gets to the other dog. Thankfully I've only had two other occasions where this has happened. But at that point I didn't have another dog who was fighting back and able to kill Max if he doesn't stop. And he just never stops once he's angry with another dog. He's just a prick. He holds grudges. And never ever forgets his intentions once he makes up his mind. So I've had to keep him away from one of those dogs completely and they other dog was my rescue and I had to remove him to a safer place causeway loyalty has to lie with Max. It's been almost 8months now with Ari. He's going to be I bet the equivalent if not more to me than Max is now in the future in my eyes. Other than Max making him feel this way he has shown no aggression or anger to anything or anyone and all he wants to do is play and he's s smart and just a character he's so funny. His personality is 1 of a kind and I love him so much. Max can feel and sense it as well so he get even more jealousy raging in his mind. The other 3 dogs are a 13yr old female pit I adopted 6yrs ago and two 1yr old GShepherd old brother and sister that are Max's pups and they are 2months older than Ari. This far the puppies are not in anyway aggressive at all. That did include Ari till yesterday. So Ari was 4months and they were 6months when introduced they met. I got the Gsheperd puppies at about 12 weeks. Max Is a dick to all 3of the puppies in general just kinda a control freak/bully I never saw in my mind any of them getting bigger or stronger than him and challenging him or hurting him. Or him bringing it to this level since we have all been a family for 8months now. So that's the history on all of this up till now and I'll try anything I need to do to try to regain trust and control over the dogs I love so we can all safely be together again. Well safely together in the future cause I obviously had a false sense of security before yesterday with the whole situation. So many things here can take a turn for the worst in so many different ways I just don't know how to prioritize the right steps to effectively do ths. I know I can if I have the right tools and knowledge and confidence that are necessary and appropriate. I'm emotionally invested and my heart is involved 100% so everything is foggy in my head rn idk where to start. It's hard to just muscle that down and see clearly. This is a first for me. I pray it's also the last time I'm ever this intimidated and confused about something so important in my life... please no negative comments the only way I want to go with this is up so my fur family and I can be successful and happy and have a long peaceful life together. All of us. Thanks for listening..
