We have the Esse 1 and it was supplied as a log burner, so we don’t have the grate/ash pan. Is the log version exactly the same construction as the multifuel, minus the grate/ash pan? Thanks

I got the log version too... Doesn't really do the job

Ours is cracking with logs. Just fancy the option of coal too. If you buy decent quality hardwood logs (oak/ash etc), it’s a great burner. If you’re burning damp or soft woods, you’ll struggle for heat.

Does it fit a standard 25cm log length?

Is a gas stove just a wood stove with gas fittings? There are two for sale and one is hundreds of £s and another is £50 because it's gas, but they look identical, apart from one uses gas? There is a video on KZfaq that shows how you remove the fake coal, and metal holder, and cover pipe inlet and it's a wood burning stove, so should I save lots of cash and but the gas version? Efel Harmony is the stove, but no info anywhere apart from someone on KZfaq showing how to do another make.

Can I convert one to burn wood if it was a gas one? I heard there is no difference, and you just need to take the metal from inside to fit logs.

Mines a pain. It seems to smoke so much. I'm at a loss. I'm Canadian and ways had a stove. And I have no idea what we are doing wrong. It's slow to start and even leaving the door open a small amount always has smoke billowing back into the house. We buy the proper wood. I start it as I would have always done.

I just had mine installed on Saturday. Same issue…very smoky and not lighting as good as it shows on videos. Have you had a resolution?
@flexwinggpipi2 жыл бұрын
@@kimcunningham573 I'd agree we've had ours installed and it's just painful to avoid a black glass front when you turn back the controls . Never had this problem the Chesney stove previous house. Always using kiln dried logs ,don't overload .I keep the door open for a while to get the chimney hot but unfortunately as soon as you turn down the left main control to slow the burn rate the window will smoke. Only solution is to increase burn rate which gets expensive

We have had a terrible experience with Clock. We bought a Blithfield through our fitter. After one season, the paint surface started to erode, and we are left with the raw metal surface. Clock didn't answer our emails, and then during a phonecall, told us to contact the supplier. We did, and Clock had told the supplier to tell us that the paint wasn't under warranty. They didn't have the guts to tell us themselves. What a poor service from a poor company. The woodburner is ok..the vents are fiddly and a bit tedious to use.

Hi guys, I’m currently looking at this stove, I take it all is still good with yours? I have read some negative reviews with regards to smoke coming into the roof every time the door is opened.

I too have a woody fitted but found the glass would black up terribly in the kindling stage.. I now leave the door ajar slightly until I'm ready to start adding smaller logs then close door fully...now no more black glass ...

Seems a bit complicated to me. I wanted to burn smokeless and then logs. Is this totally not suitable?
@sandiacrestoveslimited33365 жыл бұрын
Bobby8270 you should never mix the two, the moisture within the wood can react with the sulphur in the smokeless coal which acts as an acid and will attack the bricks, flue lining and the glass. When it attacks the glass it looks like it’s been scratched (very unsightly) Also if you burn both together you are never going to get complete combustion of either of the fuels due to each fuel needing air from different directions, with the new clean air act it is imperative that we promote clean burning (complete combustion of fuel).
@sandiacrestoveslimited33365 жыл бұрын
You can let your logs burn down to form a charcoal bed and then swap to smokeless coal and vice versa but never together.
