That's Fantastic for Eddie. I really mean it; good for him. And good for you too, for getting into the game. Not all of us bring to the game the same tools, though. I, for example, always knew beyond a shadow of doubt that I was gonna crush it in life. In spite of being raised in a traumatic environment (I'm talking REAL trauma, not a slap on the wrist) I just knew I was destined for greatness, and thought I had all the assets I needed to achieve that greatness. And I began to make things happen, and met failure. And I began to again, and met a different failure. And so on it went, until I dreaded waking up in the morning. Me, with all my talent, ability, and skill, was beaten down. My spirit was gone. I had compound ignorance - I didn't know, I didn't know. I didn't know that the trauma had infected, and crippled me mentally. I began to have panic attacks and then constant anxiety. I had made it to my dream career, several times over! I got a job working for Disney studios in Burbank, CA, doing what I loved; but lost it. I got a hired as an assistant editor at a major magazine publishing house, and lost that. I was offered a job in theatrical distribution for 20th Century Fox Studios, but blew it. I was offered a position in production for CSI, but couldn't follow through. These were all INCREDIBLE opportunities; careers that I could've hung my hat on. I had made these things happen. But I just didn't know how affected I was by my past. There were others, some really great chances in NYC, and Denver. People started walking out of my life. Disgusted, they too were ignorant. No one knew I was NOT a willing participant in these losses. We all kept believing that we are, our behavior. I was blind to the FACT that I was operating with a defective system. Finally, after TONS of pain, and many years of extreme despair, I became open to being examined mentally. At first I was very skeptical, but I had to be open-minded because I had already tried everything I could think of - I had even dropped $300 for the Tony Robbins CD's! It's a real shame that it took such prolonged agony for me to become reasonable, because I wasted a lot of precious time and resources. Fast forward to today. My life is far from perfect; but I have peace of mind, which is the most valuable commodity I know of. There're still lots of goals to be pursued, but they're different today. They're much more in line with my personal values and standards. The famous philosopher Socrates once said, "The unexamined life is not worth living." I wholeheartedly agree.

Need one breakthrough. Start and keeping going 1% better everyday.

I can say I've learned who's really got my back after my husband passed. It's our dear daughters. Thank God I'm still here breathing and. Thank God for these young adult daughters.
