He said it took him a lifetime to learn how to paint like a child!!! Can you dig that ?
@datsillybird3 ай бұрын
Yeah, when he said it took him a lifetime to paint like a child, he was talking about the journey. At first, he focused on learning the technical skills, like those of Raphael. But then, throughout his life, he had to let go of those strict rules and paint freely, like a child, letting imagination flow freely, as children do when they paint without worrying about rules or conventions.
@Richardwestwood-dp5wr3 ай бұрын
@datsillybird he was certainly a man of considerable genius, and like all creative spirits had his unconscious work for him and tap into the immeasurable reservoir of artistic possibilities. This is what he probably meant when he said his ideal was to paint like a child, that is to say doing art becomes a second nature to him, a spontaneous act that comes naturally without effort.

❤ Picasso was African, North African Berber. One his parent , hus mother was black . The father was a Spaniard. He was leaving a message behind for future generations. Picasso was rebelling against western civilisation. Those African masks in picasso paintings was his black identity. That is when he became conscious diaspora. His name Picasso means the cunning and wise spider. In African traditional folklore, the spider is regarded as the wisest and most cunning person. Picasso name is African. Mendes Trube. .

I've compiled all the available videos of Picasso that I could find, edited and enhanced their quality. Everything you see is under fair use, and the music is entirely my own creation, not AI-generated. On my channel, there are numerous videos, and all the music is composed by me. Feel free to use my music; I won't enforce copyright.

I visited a Picasso exhibition when it was on tour. Amongst the usual rubbish were examples of his early works, that is to say, 'before he found himself.' It was about average for a boy of 12 to 14 years of age. Extremely mediocre. No wonder he leapt at the opportunity to make a living via a great agent and promoter. I know this might sound rude and unknowledgeable, but I can assure you it is neither. Picasso is an excellent example of what a well connected and glib promoter can do for someone of less than a good artistic talent, but great testosterone and confidence.
@jean-sebastiendeshaies-mas1034Ай бұрын
What is the definition of a great painter anyway? For a Kid in 1890s he was above average. He learned very quickly. As a teenager he was already able to paint like a professional. What is your definition of a great painter or a painter who has talent? People back then werent impressed by his blue or pink period. Or his early stuff. He became a big deal during WWI and the 1920s whrn he was doing neoclassical portraits for snobby rich people.
@issues9828 Жыл бұрын
I've studied Picasso's composition, and it was based to a great degree upon relating the subject to the frame. He does this by having direct or implied lines intersecting with the corners of the frame, and strong horizontal and vertical lines that were parallel to the frame. You can see how with every work he did in this video he in-the-moment ensures he is doing this.
