How come some have the logo made in Japan others don’t ??? And what is the most popular glove
@msmfightshopmiami
@msmfightshopmiami 2 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for your question, If your talking about the label inside the gloves, in the past couple of years winning has changed the label inside, before it used to say the model Ex. MS- 400 and made in Japan and about 2 years ago winning changed the label material and design of it, now it shows the winning logo and it says made in japan. this video is about 5 years old... Regarding the most popular gloves, winning are very popular and considered the best gloves in the world but they produce very little quantity to keep the quality as high as possible and have a very high demand, making them hard to get and more expensive. Other popular brands that make excellent quality gear is phenom, reyes and high end rival gloves.

It really depends on the person you ask, everybody has a different opinion of how a gloves should feel or fit. it's personal Preference. All the brands you mention are very good and offer comfort, protections and quality construction. Rival has many amazing models, like rs100, rs11v, guerrero under $200 that are great choice depending on what you use them for... Phenom boxing also make amazing gloves for under $200 that compete with the top end brands for half the price... find what fits your hand and your budget, don't just go by the best brand...

@msmfightshopmiami

you can used both gloves for kickboxing but the shape of the gloves is a bit different, the BGV11 has a bit bigger hand compartment and the BGV19 is more snug fitting with thicker padding like twins gloves.

The fight8-10oz gloves are very different from a training glove, on the fight gloves they use horsehair padding that is thin and transfers the power much more than a training glove that uses latex foam padding.

I'm eyeing on BGV16(genuine leather) and some Microfiber leather. Which of the two that last longer, durable, not easy to tear?
@msmfightshopmiami
@msmfightshopmiami 4 ай бұрын
Leather in our opinion last longer than microfiber but MF requires less maintenance and is better for the environment. But it all depends how often you use the gloves and how you take care of them as well. Keep leather gloves clean & dry and away from the sun or excessive heat and condition the leather regularly and you should get years of use out of them...
@msmfightshopmiami
@msmfightshopmiami 4 ай бұрын
the BGV16 in our opinion has soft padding and may go flat sooner.... Leather and Microfiber (high grade synthetic) gloves should last for years with proper care. I love the bgv1 for all leather construction, durable padding and great durability..

@@msmfightshopmiami I purchased BGV16. But in 10oz. Too tight for my hand if I had handwrap (5 meters). But I adjusted my handwrapping, less wrapping on knuckle, more on my wrist and I can easily put on the gloves. Focusing much my wrapping on knuckle area makes it hard to put on the 10oz size gloves on me. I tried 12oz on the gym gloves, theres no problem wearing them weather I focused my wrapping on knuckle or wrist area. My mistake as newbie, by not trying to fit 1st the different sizes of gloves at gym

The logos on reyes are applied with heat , not printed and they can flake off over time. Counterfeit gloves will have screen printer logo on them. You can also contact reyes to verify authenticity and always buy from reputable dealers.

Which is better in order between Winning, Cleto reyes, Grant, Everlast and Rival in your opinion ?
@msmfightshopmiami
@msmfightshopmiami 9 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks for the comment. All the brands you mentioned make good quality products, but are It all depends on what you're looking for in a glove, for Bag work or sparring, how they fit your hands and your budget. If you're looking for good quality mexican style with hard latex padding go with reyes. Winning is much more comfortable and offer softer padding and better hand protection than reyes but its double the price of reyes and much more difficult to get because they are not mass produced like other companies. Everlast has a lot of low end models that are not pro quality but the MX or Elites offer good value & quality for the Money. Rival also has entry level gloves that are average, but the high end lines have more innovative materials and designs like the RS1, Rs100, RS11V & guerreros that are very comfortable but with a lot more padding and heavy graphics and design. Grant on the other hand are the most expensive gloves on the market starting at $400 up to $2000+ for customs made. Quality wise we don't find them to be much better or more comfortable than reyes or winning for training but they are more of are a status symbol (like Gucci or LV but of boxing). Grant Gloves offer unique styling, and are hand made in Mexico in small batched and they are also VERY difficult to find and alot of counterfeits are on the market. From Grant we only like the fight gloves as they offer good hand protection with minimal padding and good power transfer in Pro fights.Our Favorite Gloves would be #1 Winning Laceup, #2 Phenom Elites SG202, #3 Rival RS11v or Rs100...

We no longer get over 70 years of expert Mexican quality robust craftsmanship because cry babies, who don’t train in a sweat, buy cheap digital scales and denounce quality by how lightly things measure. I really hope Cleto Reyes continue to produce their traditional gloves as perhaps a “Classic” series. Please pass this request on. If they do, the weight weiners might shut up when the balance books actually show actual practitioners still prefer the better made - they are heavier because they are better - gloves.

I heard that some Twins gloves may not be accurate with the weight that’s printed. Is that true?
@msmfightshopmiami
@msmfightshopmiami Жыл бұрын
Hi, Yes it's common for twins and many other training gloves for the weight not to be accurate because there are many factors that are involved in the total weight of the gloves, including material like leather or synthetic that will vary in weight, also using a velcro strap vs lace ups and the type of padding that will affect the total weight of the glove. What is accurate is that the hand compartment and thickness of padding will increase with a bigger Oz glove. The only gloves that need to be accurate are fight gloves in 8-10oz and they are normally weighted before the fights and need to be accurate.
@timb9425
@timb9425 11 ай бұрын
Yeah twins usually weight 2 OZ less than indicated. But the protection match the OZ. (meaning 16oz weight 14oz but protect enough to be use for sparring).

Are velcro gloves better than lace up gloves?
@msmfightshopmiami
@msmfightshopmiami Жыл бұрын
Hi, Thanks for your question. Velcro gloves are not necessarily better than lace but it depends on what works better for your purpose.. Velcro gloves are more convenient to put on and remove by yourself, but the strap adds more weight and bulk to the glove, also the velcro may scratch your opponent if not properly fasten and the velcro can wear out over time. On the other hand, lace up gloves can give you a more snug fit on your wrist with less bulk but you need someone to lace them up making them less convenient for everyday use...Hope this answers your question.
