Purchase price, transport cost, money he put into it and a profit after all costs were factored in. Plus the time to locate it. He might look at 10 and only 2 are worth buying so that time, gas, etc are also factored in.

Oh, sorry didn't know it was a rebuilt engine. I can say it was a good reliable car back in the day. One of my friends father had one. Back when AMC/Jeep made a decent car. The Jeeps today are horrible. I just got rid of my 2016 Cherokee because the oil pump went when I was on I-95 here in Philly. Not much of a warning. Low pressure light popped on. Got off 5 miles down the road after I slowed down and the engine was toast. The newer Chryslers and Jeeps are POS!!!👍👍👍

My 17 sonata hybrid has the same issue, except premium fuel will not make it go away it pings really bad at all times, and sometimes even when the hybrid system kicks the engine on you feel the engine bogged down and it bogs down during shifts and hear a whole ton of spark knock. Engine was replaced twice by dealer and the dealer had to mess with the knock sensor a few times to get it quote unquote right.

Take them back. The manager proly wanted to fump this old stock before ozone in the air makes them crack and break down. If you buy new tires, and want to use them in 2 or 3 years because, lets say you got a good price and the date stamp was current and unchanged, seal the tires in plastic. Evacuate air if you want, but the biggest reason is to keep out the ozone which will degrade and eventually trash the tires. YES! Take them back , they also didn't think you were smart enough to know there was a date code, or how to read it. Nice catch!
@cousinjohncarstuff45683 ай бұрын
I know about the date code, trusted it was no more than a yr old. Do not drive enough to wear them out in 3 yrs. Bought at full price from a big name tire dealer.

One of the most underrated cars and car companies ever.If the government hadn't been biased and bailed them out like they.did Chrysler,Dodge and Plymouth,they might still be around!! I have always thought that was a dirty deal and done with taxpayer money 💰💰!!! It seems like the big 3 always get whatever they want.Amc/ Rambler were the first to get into the economy car market and this should have been considered.My brother had an AMC Hornet with a 232 or 258 and he drove it for 300,000 miles and it was still running strong with no blow by when he traded it in.All of his 3 boys were between 6'4" ond 6'8" and his wife was over 6'.Thats a lot of weight to be hauling around!!!

@@CSmith-gb1sl that’s a good possibility. But I sold Oldsmobiles from 78-80. I ordered the cars too. I believe, the “ FIREMIST” colors were available only on 98 and Tornado. I’d have to look at my brochures to refresh my memory. But color code 67 was available in 77/78 .

@@user-pb3dt6yl8m I see Cadillac called their code 67 "Saffron" (separate brochure), & Firethorn Irid. (Iridescent?) crosses with Code 36 (Firethorn Poly PPG (I had a quart of this). I don't see firethorn in the Caddy brochure, but I have seen them in Firethorn. I get a lot of hits on the 77 Delta Firethorn in "for sales" (nice one in Canton OH). What was the difference between firemist & a regular metallic? Firemist is a upcharge I see. Edit: I see what you mean, Saffron a shade darker, really mimics Firethorn. Perhaps the '98 came in Saffron, & the Delta came in Firethorn?
