When I was a water bailiff for grimaster estate I caught a few netting..? You don't need to net.. You get yourself a permit and you use the gland deer hair fly. You buy a deer head in mating season cut out the gland circle about 4 inches of hair aswell. Go to the bottom of langavat above grimaster little roge and big roug rivers you should be around your highest mountain ronavil.. Spelling is bad.. Anyways hire a boat and go out fishing. Use this flys and the salmon attack it you don't need to net.. The macleods net the river at port Ness. Carloway all over and were selling the fish to the Stornoway hotel. With thier pick up taxi. The bastetds chased me for miles I was only a kid so we screwed him over took all his nets. . No need for netting for greed.. They get paid twice. When you poach with them they get the money split it and a few days later get there times as much more so they are ripping of yous aswell.. So do this and you can catch all you can carry. Just put them back when they turn more red than pink or silver... You don't need to net the river mouth... Netters are killing the sport and its usaly a macleod port Ness and Carloway that is behind it.. Do this fly buy the permit and you will have a great day.... I've tryed it in the fishers a over the mainland for rainbow trout ever cast bang. I tryed it in langavat and had to stop my arms were falling of me.. 22 salmon 7 hours.. Great to not net.....
