Wow, this is not right. You need to train your students to be competent in each kata before moving on to the next, and these kids can't even pull off Taikyoku Shodan. And what are they doing with various colored belts? None of these kids is past white belt. In a quality school, competence in each kata, along with the appropriate mastery of basics and sparring, is used to determine if a student should graduate to the next rank. Heian Shodan --> Yellow belt Heian Nidan --> Orange belt Heian Sandan --> Green belt Heian Yondan --> Blue belt Heian Godan --> Purple belt Tekki Shodan --> Brown belt But again as I mentioned, none of these students is demonstrating the minimum level of competence to even reach yellow belt. And note that the Taikyoku are really just introductory katas and not part of the list of Shotokan Katas, which start at Heian Shodan.

What are these meaningless punches by the girls.. The sensei is making them look like a joke. Only one of the boys had somewhat okay form. This is the problem with Indian dojos. Majority are run by frauds who are looking to make a quick buck. They dont care that they are giving their students false confidence.
