That, "I want to do it better next time" is the difference between crummy pots and excellence. I think its the most important lesson.

Many people these days are being more logical with their decisions, especially a huge decision to have children.

I love my boyfriend to much to ruin our beautiful relationship with parenting. We have enough money but we are happy as it is. Looking at all the unhappy parents we see. And their endlessly scrraming children. And Gen Alpha. And the risk of having a di s abled or neuro diverse or spectrum child.

Life sounds good. Don’t give in to the brainwashing that you need kids to lead a great life

I have 100s of reasons i dont want kids. Pregnancy, child birth, post pregnancy body changes, constant crying for years, child care costs, sickness, insurance costs, loss of career, loss of freedom and alone time, no more sleeping in, having to watch childrens tv, etc... Sounds awful. Thankfully my husband and i were both childfree by choice and found each other. We love being able to spend out time together and separately. No crying kids to disrupt us. We have a nephew we love and spoil rotten, but the moment he starts acting up, he goes right back to his mom and dad😂

The price you pay for not having children will be higher than the price you think you pay to have them, I promise you that...

There’s over 8 billion (that’s “billion,” with a “B”) people on the planet already. Somehow I think people opting to either delay having children, having fewer children, or opting to remain childfree is going to cause irreparable harm to the gene pool! Besides, who’s the parent that makes 99.9% of the sacrifices (health, time, salary, career, social life, etc.) to raise the kids? Mom, that’s who! The isolation, brain drain, lack of support from society, lack of “me time,” and burnout are REAL!

In what way do you mean??? Kids are a huge responsibility that not everyone wants or feel they will ever be prepared for

What price? Having an undisturbed romantic relationship? Sleeping in at weekends? Having money for travrlling, Events, good clothes, healthy food?

Doubtful. It isn’t medieval times anymore. Life can be great with or without kids

My parents could buy a house and support two kids on a single salary. We cannot even get a a rental appartement with two full-time salaries... No money, space or time for kids!

Very professionally done. It's scary to know that even with a flashing light crosswalk, a pedestrian was still hit! It makes me wonder if it's because drivers are paying more attention to their phones than keeping their eyes on the road. I hope that the Vision Zero program in Chapel Hill will not only focus on visual aids at the crosswalks but also address the problem of distracted drivers. Thank you for this informative segment!
