@sittinginvitation17 күн бұрын
I was attempting to have shiny thinks like porcelain shards submerged in concrete under water to attract birds to the bird bath. I eventually broke this one and didn’t have it cure long enough so I remade it as a ground bird bath with no porcelain dishes

If hybrid seed you may be ok thick where minimum distance is 6in plant to plant. Heirloom corn wants 9-12in between plants to set ears, otherwise a lot of stalks and no ears or 'nubins'. keep putting on the grass clippings until the corn can shade the grass out.

Well it's 2 years later. Any further comments on reliably? Still using it? Is it worth buying?
@sittinginvitationАй бұрын
Thank you for watching and commenting. 2 years in I still am using it. It’s been a really great tool for starting charcoal and I am personally happy with mine. Granted I only get around to grilling a few times a year. Just be careful to keep an eye on the heater and don’t get distracted with other projects and forget it’s in the charcoal is my suggestion, be sure to follow the instructions so the plastic in the handle doesn’t get ruined. Thanks again!

It's really cool and pretty 👍... Whenever I pour concrete in a form that's going to make direct contact with my driveway (concrete on concrete,) I lay an old shower curtain on top of the driveway and that way it won't stick to the driveway. That's an awesome idea the way you cut the wood to form it into a round form....If you give up on the birds not making use of it and having to keep cleaning out the algae for nothing, you can then get a beautiful gazing ball and turn it into a gazing ball stand.

Video is a lie? Square nuts aren't shown! You can't tighten the screws without the square nuts! The battery terminals aren't threaded.
@sittinginvitationАй бұрын
Thank you for watching and commenting. There is a battery terminal square nut on each end. Your correct the ends are not threaded, the bolt screws into a square nut to hold it into place. I haven’t watched the video in a while but if I missed filming that part I apologize. You should be able to see the square nuts and Phillips head bolts id think. Thank you for your time

Are they copper or copper coated? I cant tell from the video but if you look close at where they are sniped on the ends they might be copper coated. Doesnt make alot of sense to use solid copper for a staple. Edit: as for the reason it's because copper doesn't deteriorate as fast as other metals. Why they use copper on old wood ships along time ago. Copper would stand up to salt water for a long time

@@sittinginvitation if you take one of the longer ones and bend it back and forth a bunch it should break and you'll be able to see the other metal in the core. Zinc maybe

This is the kind of tool that I've had for a good while, and only ever knew half the uses and never had any idea what the official purpose was Case in point, Hammer is obvious, but the horn being used as a horn, but for fencing staples (and as a lever), I never would have got! (And somehow I registered wire cutters but not wire pliers) Fantastic video, thanks for the information!

That's not friction - it's metal fatigue!
@elektro30002 ай бұрын
You're close but that isn't fatigue either. It's just plastic deformation, necking, and stress overload rupture. Fatigue would be applying and removing a force many times, but not enough to permanently bend it, which causes a small crack to grow until it finally rips off. Hitting it with a hammer hard enough to permanently bend it each time is plastic deformation, and metals all have plastic deformation limits. Deform it past the limit, and it rips.
