Honestly when I heard about the ending which was before I even read Insurgent I was mad at it. But after reading insurgent and then finally allegiant I was actually fine with it, it was something that had to happen, I actually think if she survived she (Tris) would've found another way to die anyway, I think Uriahs death was more sad. I actually like the ending and I like how the story didn't stop there, if it didn't have another two chapters then yh the ending would've sucked. It worked for the book, if you didn't want her to die then just watch the movie

Oh my God, finally someone who agrees with me. The first time a read the serie s I thought her death was just a sad ending. But I read it again this week and realized how necessary it was. She found out who she was and fulfilled her purpose in a brave and selfless way. She would never be able to live a peaceful life with Tobias. Not after everything she's been through. For me, the real main caracther of the story is Tobias. He is the one that has developed the most since the first book and now needs to learn how to live without Tris. But he learned a lot about life and himself with her. So he can do it. I mean, the books have many flaws, but Tris's death is not one of them. To read the last book again, knowing what would happen, was a painful experience. But I enjoyed it so much.

@@MarinaHolanda00 Thanks for agreeing :) It's nice that someone on here does, i'm sick of seeing all the hate for the ending, it's not right. I think that Tobias and Tris may be peaceful together for a while, but i theorize it may only last a couple years. I too think Tobias developed the most. I cried the first time about Tris' death (I knew she was going to die i just didnt know when or how) and even cried when i read it again even though i knew all the facts. I think it was the reactions of the other characters that got me the most

I hope that Veronica Roth is reading the comments so she knows how much her book effects me. I cried my heart out and I love and loathe her at the same time. I hate her for killing my favorite character and love her for making one of the best books I have ever read.

However I understand the ending. Even as I was reading it I couldn’t see the two of them living a normal life. Usually I can see these sad endings but love for the characters blinded me from the truth.

When everyone talks about the Allegiant ending they talk about Tris's death. I get that it's important, but what about the other important things that happened? What about two characters who got redeemed at the end of Allegiant? What about Peter and Evelyn? What about when Peter took the memory serum because he hates doing bad things and liking it? What about when Evelyn choose Tobias over ruling the city? Those actions say a lot about their character, yet they are barely mentioned? Why? They are just as important!!
