Their Adrenalin gets my adrenaline pumped up indeed - I want to throw my laptop out the window! It is so strange there doesn't seem to be a normal "Professional" level driver combo for AMD and onboard 2D renderer, for some reason they they push Desktop colour setting through this awful junk and when it crashes of conflicts, yup, it resets. I have had issues with this nonsense since launch now. RIght... their onboard chip is technically Radeon... (Keep in mind, I do have NVIDIA 3D card on my laptop, but this is basically a 3D renderer limited to that)

I got a used 5600xt MSI gaming MX.. I did a fan test but there it was inconsistent in a different way.. the amount of increased RPM spikes is more than when it slows down ? is that a good sign or a bad sign or both or what is it ?

I've owned an Arc A770 16GB since late 2022. I'm still really bummed by the following: Inferior OpenGL support compared to Nvidia Discontinued non-VR Stereoscopic 3D from the driver (it was present at launch and is not present now) *Still no VR support!*

I personally would never go with an Intel GPU, but I hope they figure it out so they push NVIDIA and AMD to make some crazy stuff in the future.

Your 13900k only clocks at 5MHz so something isn't set up correctly. It's still a k CPU so you just have to set it yourself. Do the update and just make sure it doesn't go above 1.4v and you're safe. and take a look in your bios

had my 14900k about a year getting the random spikes to 100C on whatever core for half a second when sitting at the windows desktop doing nothing but core temp running is annoying. To tame these 253-watt cap the power and run a 420 AIO with a push pull 140mm fan x6 and you be a ok temp spikes now only get to 80C which is fine sad a 360 with 6x 120mm fans cant even keep thermals down.

lock the P cores to whatever clock speed 1.3 Volts can deliver. The cpu will run for years to come. Don't wait for scam microcode updates. You have an unlocked chip on a Z mobo. Never rely on auto settings ever.

I just replaced my year old 13900k with a 14900k this weekend. Why? Because Intel just accepted my RMA request and notified me they would send a check after they receive my 13900k. To get a few years out of it I went ahead and did the BIOS update and set the MSI Z790 to box cooler settings while running a 360 AIO. Benchmarking Cyberpunk with a 4080 Super I am hitting 137 - 141 fps on Ultra with RT on a 34" ultrawide. Perfectly acceptable, but I still do not care for the thermals or power consumption compared to AMD right now. Just loading Cyberpunk it will thermal throttle at 100C and then drop to 70C+ while running the game. I doubt I will build an Intel computer again, although it will be a few years down the road, so we will see where AMD and Intel stand at that point.

What pisses me off is that IF my 13900k blows up, what the hell am I gonna replace it with? Unless Intel actually fixes the problem on a new chip, I'm in the same boat, so I'd have to replace my $1000 mobo as well!!! So far, luckily, I've seen no issues, but I've been running it stock and haven't had too much time to play with OC it yet, thank god! I've installed the fix, but still #$%! you Intel.... 😡

the only satisfactory option is REFUND.

Just lock all your cores and lower your vcore and offset, and lower your cpu power to 253 watts. Problem solved, you dont need the micro code update as many others have stated it only prolongs the degradation by forcing longer idle states, but when the cpu is pushed hard those 2 cores will still ramp up, and it will shove more than 1.4+ volts into the cores, and kill the cpu overtime.

Wow you seem to be having the same type of issues that I am. I use Adobe Premiere and I have found out that long GOP footage is a big no-no. Anytime I use long GOP and I am editing a complicated 4K timeline. Consistently crashing and causing me anguish

I just had my I-9 replaced by Intel and from what I am seeing in hearing I don't think it's going to fix the issue overall
