Кабы не рваный скроллинг, думаю, было бы на порядок лучше 🤔 так-то и графон на месте, и музычка прилично звучит, а вот 15фпс (ну или скок там насамделе) - сразу глаза вытекать начинают. 😵 Эххх, видать, избалован стал за годы плавной прокруткой. Хотя че, вон проходил же виндовый порт Бриганти с РС-98 и норм, ну кроме такого же убогого скроллинга, ясен пень. 🤢

The entire game you're learning about this thing, Lavos. So destructive that it wreaks utter havoc across time... All the story events lined up in perfect order for this thing to destroy the world... Being one of the only people to know about this thing has to be chilling, just imagine how everyone felt while fighting it... Let alone standing in front of it. The one thing capable of destroying worlds, and it's right in front of you...

Lavos might have been my first exposure to an eldritch being, and it's stayed with me ever since. Unlike other RPGs of the time, it's not actually evil or a villain. It's a parasitic species that burrows into planets, sucks up its resources, and then spawns in a violent way that makes said planet uninhabitable for its occupants. It's an unknowable† force of the Chrono Trigger universe, no more malicious than a bolt of lightning. Now of course we go and kick the tar out of it because it's them or us, but it has to be a large part of the game's charm. †Yes lots of things are known about Lavos but it's just well outside the norm of human understanding in the world. I don't really like the term "unknowable" even in the Lovecraft universe but I just used it to strengthen the link.
