Yes, Anime is actually for older kids. I always check on Common Sense Media before allowing my kids to watch or read anime. They have pretty good warnings. I use them for all the movies we watch and sometimes I check books as well. I hope this tip helps you, also its free to make an account with them. 👍

Nice setup! I have tried to put my own planner together so many times and I’m overwhelmed by too many options and the printing process makes me nuts so I commend you for going at it 🙌

Have a tip to keep yourself and family organized ?
@Dejenquelosninosvenganami9 күн бұрын
I just now found your channel and love all the ideas you have for homeschooling. I want to introduce myself I am Marybel and I do videos for memory verses in a fun way for toddlers from kindergarten to elementary years and I do them in a way where they can easily memorize them and I can share my page where I upload every beginning of the week the pdf files for the verses that go with them. I do have them in Spanish but I have an English page also in Facebook. Hopefully this will be a fun and great way to share more the word of God for children 💜

CLE MATH & Math Mammoth games
@Ourhomeschooladventures24 күн бұрын
Loved hearing your review. We haven’t tried that yet. We tried Teaching textbooks this year but didn’t seem to cover as much as we liked so we’re trying Go Math! This year 🙌 6:31

I hope everything works very well for you and your family with Go Math. I tried Teaching Textbooks with my kid, but sadly it didn’t work for us. Math U See is the program that has worked well for us so far, I can’t believe i took so long to try it out with him. I am adding TG&TB just to ease my brain😂 but Math U See does not need any help, just being honest.

Any suggestions for math books or programs? Which math program are you currently using with your kids and how is been working?

I thought I knew what we were going to do for Bible next year. I may have to look at this though....
@journalofahomeschoolerАй бұрын
I have to say that I like it a lot! We have both learned a lot and that is a lot to say because my son has completely read the Bible and still doing this program has created some good conversations. We are still on year one because of that reason, we are taking our time. I will be continue until the 4th year which is the last and I’ve already know and have what we are going to do next, which I am excited as well to start as soon as we finish with Answers.

I'm so happy to see more flip-throughs of CLE. We've been using it for 6 years and we absolutely love it. It's a strongly based all-in-one Language Arts curriculum. It checks off all the boxes. It has taught my child to work independently and feels accomplished after the completion of each book. Hopefully, you'll enjoy it as much as we have 😊

I haven't tried BJU history, but we really like BJU English and writing. It looks great! We will be using Mystery of History next year for the first time.
@journalofahomeschoolerАй бұрын
This will be our first time trying BJU and I’ve been wanting to try them for so…long and I think this year it’s the perfect one to do that. The history book looks great and the English as well hopefully it works well for us. Mystery History looks great! Let me know how it works for you. 😊🌺🌸

Hi friends, these changes are not coming easy for us, but are a necessity in the season in which we are at the moment. Have you made some changes for the upcoming year in your homeschool?
@courtneysimon444Ай бұрын
This is great. I don’t see why Science needs to go any deeper at this age. Coupled with a science encyclopedia, this seems like plenty.

Hi,some people said BJU press is a lot of work and time consuming🤔
@journalofahomeschooler2 ай бұрын
Hi, I heard the same expression from people in regards other curriculum companies and they end up working well for us 🤷🏻♀️. I always like to try myself and make my own opinions, because theres a lot of factors that we have to consider when we hear those comments. 1 We don’t know the schedule or routine of that family 2. Their learning style it’s different from ours 3.what they are looking in specific in a curriculum or program 4. If they customized the program or they use it as it is 4. Personality of who is teaching and using the program or curriculum 5. That families dynamic 6. If the children have some type of disabilities or learning differences that requires for them to use other type of program or that makes that particular curriculum not to work for them. I think that depends on each individual family. I do have to say that it does come with a lot of materials, but I can see as well that it is pretty thorough at least that’s what I have seen so far , I will let you know once we start using it😊. I like that it comes with everything I need so I don’t have to be researching for anything else. Again since we haven’t start with the program yet I can’t say anything or give a detail review or opinion, but as soon as I can I will. I don’t like to give a review on anything that we haven’t try at least for a few months, special when it is something new that requires some type of adjustment from our part.🌸😊

We use BJU reading and I don't buy the teacher's edition. We use BJU for English, Science, and History and for those I buy the teacher's edition. We did Heritage Studies 5 and it's very thorough. The Activity Manual makes sure the student knows the material, unlike other circculum that only has coloring sheets.
@journalofahomeschooler2 ай бұрын
That is good to know. I have been looking to BJU for a long….time and always was hesitant, but we are ready this year to give a try. I like the heritage and I looked at their English and got interest on it because of the fact the it has sentence diagraming. 🌸😊
