If I buy a network key that includes mill 3d and lathe, can I use it on 2 different computers at the same time? Or do I have to set up two separate key networks

Hey there! If you have a network license with the two products, two users can access Mastercam at the same time; one user in Mill 3D and the other in Lathe. It is possible for the Lathe user to access both at the same time and use both in a CY lathe, for example. For additional info, please reach out to your local reseller. Where’s the “in process workpiece” like in GibbsCAM, Fusion, and NX? Can we do away with stock models, please? I have Mastercam and if Iook at it sideways I need to regenerate all my stock models. Super clunky on complex parts.

Why does Mastercam look like a cam software from the 90s? They need to get with the times. In process stock no need for stock models. Better simulation. Autodesk offers most all major machine tools for simulation for free and an easy machine builder to set up your own.

Because it is the 90s. The lack of in process stock is starting to seem weird to me to. Both Fusion and NX have in process stock. I’m pretty sure GibbsCAM does too. You can get machine models for simulation in Mastercam but you need to pay for them. I have one that came with my post… Still not going to be as good as standalone machine simulation software like Vericut or CAMplete.

Hi! Thank you for your patience. Make certain you are running the Advanced Menu System. To ensure this, select the "Options" button in Wrap (symbol in upper left corner) then select "Options". Under "User Interface", select "Ribbon Interface" and ensure it is set to "Advanced". By setting it to Advanced, the Shell and Offset tools become available. Thank you for your patience! The ignore small cusps setting allows the user to refine the toolpath by having it ignore leftover material that has a cusp height smaller than the distance set by the user. It helps to remove unwanted cut motion in previously cut areas.

Very useful, This helped a lot when tracing over a word in a font that isn't available in the solid works software... got what I wanted from the net.. saved as an image, and just imported over to solid works and traced it. Thanks so much 👍
