Seasons 1-6 are within the boundaries of the same level of quality. At least it seems more or less consistent. Seasons 7-8 tho were just abysmal. Like, I couldn't believe that I was watching the same show. At this point I was done. I checked a few S 9-11 episodes here and there years later and it is just not the same show anymore. All the praises about how they fixed the show is just insane. People who actually enjoyed the original seasons all stopped watching years ago and the new crowd seems to be a bunch of teenagers that drool over characters in a vacuum, not caring about substance. And don't get me started on all them fucking spin-offs....

me and my gf are watching the series rn, having no connection to the comics. and for me everything was good till the whole saviors arc. i didnt care if ppl like glenn or abraham got killed (sure it sucked bcs our fav char was glenn, next to carol whos a literal one man army at this point) but holy moly. things started to turn for the worse…. while negan became my favourite character, the garbage people were written so badly and i think the whole season wouldve been better off without them. still it had its great moments and characters and i still liked the story overall… but then season 9 and 10 came and….and oh my god its so bad. the writing is absolute nigtmare fuel, characters disappear for no reason at all (we didnt know there are spinoffs) and characters are introduced that suddenly had to fill these holes…when the blacksmith boy died at the beginning os season 9 i think we couldnt give less fuks still they made it so tragical, we were joking about it how unimpactful this was. strange deaf woman and her group of absolutely bad written characters who were just added for the sake of adding some lgbtqxyz+ characters, that contradict themselfes every 5 seconds just to force drama….the skinpeople who make absolutely no fkn sense and contradict everything the writers did before…not getting sick by contact with walkers intestines, surviving a hard winter the others were struggling to survive by literally sitting in the woods. and dont get me started on alpha and her absolute over the top acting and little fat belly who looks like the most average mental person ever. maggie is gone and it never gets explained where she went, whole episodes that make no difference in the whole storytelling that are just written to force some drama that gets relieved after 40 min without anything happening other than daryl holding deaf girls hand…man i dont even give 2 shits anymore and if it wasnt for negan, i dont even know why i should keep watching.

I thought it was possible for Michonne to die because of the arc in the whisperer war in the comics where they keep saying “we don’t get bit” and then Andrea gets bit with how much they were playing into “we are the ones who live” I was expecting it to be how they take away Rick’s love in a similar way

Axel let's in a family who try taking Judith however Carl tricks Maggie into killing them. Episode 6 "Final Nail": Daryl finishes off the Governor and sets off to look for Rick. Glenn and Beth talk about Maggie who has been acting weirdly. They eventually run into Aaron. Episode 7 "Alexandria" pretty much the exact same Episode 8 "A New Life": The Group meet Noah, Nicholas, Spencer, and Aidan. Andrea shows a liking in Spencer and Beth talks to Noah. Carol and Axel are captured. Rick takes control from Spencer. Episode 9 "Captured":Rick, Andrea, Glenn, Spencer, Noah, Beth, Aidan, and Rosita capture the officer's. They escape and Rosita is wounded. This is indirectly Noah's fault however Aidan takes the blame for him. Rick saves Axel and Carol. Episode 10 "Caution": Glenn and Aidan argue, which causes them to fight. Spencer breaks up the fight. Heath is the only Alexandrian who sides with Glenn. Abe and Eugene take care of Rosita. Episode 11 "Fallout": Noah acknowledges that what happened to Rosita was his fault. Carl meets Mikey, Ron, and Enid. Aidan plans to jump Glenn. Maggie and Carl talk about what happened with the family. Gabriel and Denises husband talk. Episode 12 "Final Day Alive" Aidan, Nick, Glenn, Noah, Tara, and T-Dog go on a supply run. Glenn gets knocked out. Aidan gets Tara killed, T-Dog beats Aidan up and leaves him behind as he escapes with the others. Rick goes crazy. Episode 13 "Left Behind" Aidan is presumed to be dead, which angers Nick who refuses to cooperate with the others until T-Dog shouts at him. Nick and T-Dog fight. Noah drives off without them after noticing a horde of walkers. The season ends with Noah and Glenn driving back to Alexandria. S5 Deaths: Claimers Terminus Bob Tomas Governor Tara Aidan? T-Dog? Such a shame this show never quite worked, even though it had so much going for it there were too many creative differences early on which killed an overarching vision for the show... Such a shame because so many of the cast were perfect
