I liked Chuck so much at first. Right up to the moment where Bree turned down his proposal and broke up with him. I felt just awful for the poor guy until he got right in her face and told her she'd just made a big mistake. Up until that point, I was hoping that he and Bree would eventually end up together, and he probably could have helped with their Alejandro problem. But they had to make him a stalking creep with anger management issues! Too bad, because I also liked the actor and thought he and Marcia Cross had good chemistry.

Also, they way they killed off Chuck was ridiculous. He's a cop; there is no way a car coming down a long, visible street could have hit him without him jumping out of the way first.

I liked him up until the moment Bree broke up with him. Once his threatening side came out, that was it for me with the character. People choose the worst characters as their faves because people are idiots. I think most of them just think the actor is hot...which I do, as well. :)

I have to admit I’m shocked how many people are actually feeling sorry for Chuck, sure, cool actor, fun storyline, great chemistry but that doesn’t change anything about the fact that the guy is a stalker, has major anger management issues and abuses his power to threaten a woman for breaking up with him- last time I checked, turning down a proposal was well within a person’s rights and it doesn’t give that creep an excuse to turn up in front of her house every day, let alone break into her house and tell her ‘perhaps somebody wants you not to feel save in your own home’ and let her know that while she might call 911 as many times as she wants, the only police official who is going to answer will be him. Everybody who thinks this is normal behaviour that warrants sympathy, please educate yourself and next time you meet somebody like that, don’t go out with them but run as fast as you can in the opposite direction.

yeah, also, making bree seem like the villain. he obviously insists on going out on her while she didnt really care at first. she wasnt interessted but he shows up at her house just bc she didnt care to call. and then telling his collegues that she was stringing him around...

Not that I’m excusing Chucks behavior because he is a freakin stalker but Bree did sort of lead him on. She had her chance to break up with Chuck in the second episode of season 8. Even Chuck confronted her and asked Bree if she’s breaking up with him. What does she do? She pretends she not. Do you guys think that if Bree broke up with him right then and there before it escalated into the proposal would Chuck reacted differently?
