Why doesnt the machine just grind to the required grind for the machine. And grind the required amount for the machine to achieve the right pressure.

I want to buy this but I am still thinking about the tea basket, because it is made with combination plastic/rubber. I wonder if it safe to drink for a long time? As we all know plastic/rubber will loose their particles every time it has contact with boiling water..

breville sous chef 16 still wont work but it turns on. no idea what to do. when i unplug, and plug back in, it works but it doesnt pulse. $600 machine that i've used maybe 8 times. it's brand new.

I have the older version with the removable lid and at least when I'm searing something I think the newer design is more cumbersome as it seems like the lid would always be in the way.

Have had this processor sitting on the shelf for a few years (mostly a slice and dice guy using quality knives), and finally went to use this to make Rosemary salt. Figured it was something simple I was missing, and instead of searching for the manual, came across this video lickety-split - to save the day! Love my Breville products!

Thanks very helpful. At the end you talk about storage of beans and discourage use of fridge or freezer because they're environments that are too moist. I respectfully disagree. They're indeed hugely dry environments as long as refrigeration is working! Water vapour will condense on the freeze panels and ice up. The science is clear.

Hi, do you need to fill the filter every time for a cup of coffee. So 4 cups coffee equals 4 filters etc if that makes sense. Cheers

Started cooking. Couldn't get this thing working. Didn't have time to figure it out. Sliced a ton of potatoes by hand. Sit down to fix it. Found your video. As soon as you said the handle shouldn't be round the back - DAMN! Thanks chap.

i'd just like to point out that it's illusory to think the kettle will come to a stop and leave you with water temperature precisely at a 5° point - it will have stopped boing, but the heat transfer will continue and the water will go over at least 5 degrees i think it would be much more sensible to extend the jumps to 10° and give the option to go lower also really don't think people who want a kettle to set a specific temperature need you to tell them what temperature to use for their specific kind of tea.. (i for one don't agree with your °C hints at all, i don't think any tea should be poured over with 95°C water, while for example first flush darjeeling should be treated with around 70°C)

I cannot remove the filter basket for love nor money. It just wont lift.

I saw a video that said to soak the filter in Oxy Clean and water. I'm doing that now.

You say that the pressure gauge was at 12 o'clock not far off exactly where we would like it. So where would you really like the pressure gauge for the best extraction? Because the range on the dial goes to around 2o'clock before over extracting.

I still find mine to be brilliant. This ad video is accurate. It's easy to use and wash afterwards. I love my fresh citrus juicing. You won't regret buying it.

I have a Sage machine I keep at my girlfriend's, and a commercial machine at home. Clearly they are very different, but decided to buy a couple of nice tampers for them. My commercial machine is industry standard 58mm, and the Sage is smaller so should be 54mm, as per standard sizes. But it's not.. Have Sage made the portafilters smaller than standard so people *have* to buy they own tampers? 🤷 If so, that's pretty petty... That's like IKEA making their beds a different size so you have to buy their bedding and can't buy sheets from the high street.
