wow! I didnt see the repeat of last year's final between Novak and Alky. I love Novak, but like what i said in the chat, No one beats Alky in the final. Firstly I don’t think they were wild - you just pivoted on recent tournament results. Over pivoting on recent tournaments made many who made predictions for RG looked like a fool. You might have fallen for the same issue . Tabilo, Jarry - everyone was so gung-ho in RG and they got nowhere. Also the Americans - Fritz and Paul were overrated before RG as well and they didn’t get too far. Paul ain’t getting to semis I think, Hurkacz probably not beating Djoker either - maybe Rune beats Djoker. Alcaraz will make semis , so will sinner - djoko and Zverevs are likely the TBDs -

Interesting predictions. However I would like to see an Alcaraz Hubie final and Carlitos defends his title. I was at the Tommy Paul final in Queens. He was solid but not spectacular. He’s not kryptonite for Carlos. I believe that their H2H is even. It's amazing that because Carlos did not win Queens after playing a tough RG and winning, all of the sudden the defending champion is no good on grass. Tennis fans are so fickle. I also think it’s time for other players to win against Sinner other than Carlos and Steph. No one is invincible and by the way it's boring. 🥱

So happy Alcaraz won RG! 🎾🏆🇪🇸 It’s been a rough year for him with his forearm injury. Not to mention his ankle injury in Brazil. So many people wrote him off saying he couldn’t win RG and he proved them all wrong. Alcaraz is a generational talent. Long story short he’s different from the rest.

My favorite slam is done. Congratulations to ALky and Sinner for making their dreams come true. Although I would have been happier if any of my faves win , but still the epic matches i have watched will probably be in my memory in the years to come. IGA v Osaka, Novak v Cerundolo, Alky v Sinner and of course Alky v Z in the finals. What an achievement for Alky, I'm no fan but I can't deny how brilliant his tennis is. This was a magnificent achievement by my favorite player Carlos. I call this the "human slam". Each player came in battling with an issue. Carlos came in recovering from injury which prevented him from gaining any traction in the clay swing and Zverev came in battling the mental scars from his previous failure to win a slam. What prevailed was Carlos' immense natural skill, ability to deliver under pressure and as you mentioned his mental strength. I'm glad that you mentioned how underrated he is in this area as many think showing emotion is a weakness. It's ironic as nobody says this about Novak. I've had time to digest his win and each day someone uncovers another amazing achievement that Carlos has accomplished at the tender age of 21. I really don't see Novak making a resurgence and even if he has a small comeback he's got to face Carlos and Jannick who don't fear him. I think that the window of opportunity for the Next Gen has passed them by and I don't mourn it as the (What do we call them?) Baby Gen 😂 has so much more to offer.
