I know this is old, but I use realy chunky perlite as opposed to LECA. Its much more hygienic and you don't have to worry about clay dust messing with your ph.

Imo you want at least an inch under the pot and let the air stones do the rest. I've never tried filling it up.. I just do what works for me.

Chloromine does not evaporate. Use a rv charcoal filter.

Chlorine in the US evaporates with oxygen in time. I'm not sure about Chloramine in other countries.. I never used dechlorinates or chemicals and my plants thrived.

I'm guessing this setup didn't work you would've needed a water chiller with those air pumps being inside the tent n a recirculating system would be a lot easier for maintenance
@nwiaquatics

Just left the tent doors open and the plants did great. I installed the air pumps in the basements. I have videos explaining all of this. The water ran on the hotter side but no issues with harvesting.

Buddy I have been watching everyone trying to clean up the freshly cut edges on the outside and inside of their PVC pipes. Working with copper pipe and straight edges, all hardware store carry a "Deburing" tool small curved, very sharp knife and it will work wonderful on all PVC edges. Hopefully this will help a lot of folks. Enjoyed your information also. Thanks

It's been a while since I did my plants indoors only cause of inflation with my electric and water bill doubling.. I only had a slight issue with a hand full of stink bugs in the winter but that was all.

Hey Joe! I have one question 3 years later. At the end you mention the benefit of the water level tube not requiring you to have to constantly refill 5gallon buckets. But when you top off, do you add the same proportionate amount of hydro solution/feed? Or do you just top off till completely changing out the water/solution after 2 weeks or a month?
@nwiaquatics

Sorry brother I had a burnout in creating videos.. The plants did amazing but when my electrics/gas and water bill doubled I had to take the plants outside.. I'm back now that everything had chilled out.

Thank you. It's a lot of work to maintain and had to limit my totes due to electric and water bill. I was running over 2500 extra watts which is insane. I now start my hydro plants indoors and then plant outside for the rest of the plants life span.
