WOW! Awesome application of an E Alt tritone sub; BUT I can only get 1 and 1/4 bars (not 4 bars) out of the Bb7b5 ending on a 13th fret F What are the other notes @ 08:42 & 11:33 that you are playing? (a PDF or a tab of the turn around would be appreciated

@nma300211 ай бұрын
hi quentin, my last name is Angus too. I am just starting my journey to the jazz-blues genre, just bought a Ibanez AF95FM. a big fan of Wes, Metheny and Benson, not just fast but with melodic lines . I admire your playing .I wish I could eventually play like you. I will be following you from now on. Will appreciate lessons with tabs.

Do you find it hard to write out drum parts?
@quentinangusmusic Жыл бұрын
I just write out the melodies, bass lines, harmony and time-signatures. The drummer then makes up their part from that info!

Never have I fallen in love with music as much as this. One listen at your Jazzlab gig during MIJF and I was amazed. These renditions of songs we all know are just incredible. Incredibly inspired by your work Quentin! Your skills make me, a young aspiring musician want to continue to pursue music.

That's fabulous concert! I didn't know that you're composing not only jazz music. And thanks to this project I got acquainted with the works of Rita Angus. Thank you for your work!
@quentinangusmusic2 жыл бұрын
So glad you now know of Rita. I’ve been inspired by her body of work my entire life so this was a very special project for me. And yes, I compose not just jazz! I’ve been composing in lots of different styles since falling in love with composing as a teenager. I even have some old Drum N Bass tunes from back when I used to produce music just on my computer.
