Great vid, I have been trying to shim the display lens to put pressure on it but always comes back, when you touch the top left corner with finger takes almost no pressure to stop it. Does it still have to under warranty? I have 2020 AT4 with 47k so out of bumper to bumper.

@@bkimball9590 I’m not sure, I would think it would have to be. You can pull the piece of dash off over the speedo cluster, only on clips. You then can see the trim piece around the screen. I cut a small piece of wood, yes wood, square about 1/2”x1/2” square and force in in between the screen and plastic on the left corner closest to you on the dash. You will see how you can lift up the plastic trim on push clips to place that piece Of wood in. I tried foam and many other things but found that stupid piece of wood worked the best. Used two sided tape to keep it in place. This got rid of the noise for me until I was able to get the screen replaced. You should call GMC and open up a complaint on it and see if they can give you any assistance. Good luck!

@@larze36 Thank you Tom, it is funny you say that as I currently have the dash cap off and put a rubber shim in the same spot you put wood (I imagine) as I was trying to shim from the lens side and could not get pressure on the lens. working so far. Did GM replace the entire HUD to correct? thank you again for your quick reply.

@@bkimball9590 they did replace the entire display…..the fourth time. First time I took it in and told them about issue, they replaced steering column which was making noises (another issue), second time they replaced that trim piece around the display. Third time, technician replaced the same trim piece even after the second time I convinced my service advisor issue was display. Even tapped on it and showed him how it rattled. They ordered display and when came in took it to the dealer. The tech only replaced the trim piece again…he said they didn’t tell him to replace entire display. While we were test driving it together tech asked what the rattle noise was. When I showed him he said display needed to be replaced. No crap! He Took me into parts to order it but they told him it was already ordered and was on site. This is what I had To deal with, incompetence!!!!! My warranty just expired and Thankfully had it in just the day before to install a new back cab window(leaking), passenger side mirror which would not open after folding sometimes and steering wheel radio control button which still isn’t working.
