Thank God i saw another clip of this fight because i was certain that it's wasn't so badly edited and filled with these continuity errors. I know ben Burt's editing through this trilogy isn't oscar worthy, he is a sound designer after all, but Jesus this reduces the lighsaber duel

disney has pretty much ruined this scene, if vader was so powerful in kenobi...why didnt he just force choke luke when his arm was cut off in the end. He easily could have.

There's a very clever moment at 2.03 where luke and Vader lock blade's. This mirrors EST where they do the same think but luke is already soaked in sweat, and he's struggling to hold Vader's blade in place. But in this scene, luke isn't sweating at all. He's definitely trying to hold Vader's blade but he isn't struggling like he did before. Its a subtle, very clever way of showing how far he's come

Yoda just absolutely dismissing the imperial guard is severely underrated. He was p*ssed at having felt so many Jedi massacred.

I love how there’s a clear parallel with the prequels. Palpatine turns Anakin to the dark side by instilling the fear of loss of a loved one, and Vader tells Luke how he can corrupt Leia. The only difference is that people who surrounded Luke were loyal and supportive, unlike the Jedi council towards Anakin, so Luke managed to resist the temptation.

The emporer was defeated because he never even had a concept of what love is. He never saw Vader’s love for his son coming. Palpatine was the epitome of darkness.

Palpatine had a contingency plan at that point. 3 in fact if you count the other stuff and sequel trilogy. 1. He haunts everyone to continue his Empire (Supposedly but its based on the books). 2. He uses a droid to use his recordings of giving the Empire orders (Battlefront 2). 3. Cloned himself in advance but used what was left of himself for some reason. (Episode IX)
