@@smalltownrips thanks hammieandson for spreading the word. Your comment made me rewatch this video. It sounds like a petty thing but just because it is a small amount it is the thought that he ripped me off. Trying to get rich off shipping is a scam on some small level. It is sort of dishonest.

They definitely keep a log on numbered cards brother. If you check the grading report on those it’ll say like #4/25 in the description and then when they run the card through the system when they get it back it’ll show 7 out of the 25 have been graded and 3 out of those 7 are 10s and what number card they are.

They are numbered cards! When they grade a numbered card, they record what number they graded and the grade. If #34/55 got a PSA 9, it will always get a PSA 9.

I just got back into collecting and I'm tring to figure out the best sleeves to use. I remember the standard plastic ones from my childhood would often leave damage on the corners of the cards when inserting them, making them essentially worthless. Any advice you can give would be much appreciated.

@@michaelfiasco5551 it never hurts to take a box cutter about a quarter of an inch on each side of the penny sleeve and cut each side. That really allows the card to go in without damaging the corners.

I've been all over the internet looking to see if anyone sold some sort of a cross between a rigid top loader and a penny sleeve. That's a great solution for cards I need to sleeve before toploading, which are usually the cards worth protecting anyways.

@@michaelfiasco5551 any sleeves will do. I buy them in packs of 1000 because it is so cheap that way. Box cutter on the top inside edge and just small slice to the outside and the card never touches the edges.

@@Jtbone_sports_cards Seriously, thanks for the suggestion, I think It'll help a lot. I guess I wasn't as worried back then because I wasn't spending $50+ for a few packs at a time. Hell, I remember getting 36 pack boxes for $30. Inflation's a bitch!

I would always grade a 1/1, it always looks better in a slab. Good sub, congrats! BTW, the Achane variation had a dimple with a dent in it. PSA always gives those 9s, it wasn't the centering.

Did you buy those cards singly or did you spend a ton of money buying boxes to get those carss? You got some nice ones. Also if you sell all those graded cards will you make your money back paying for the grades and make a profit also?

Great question. I would say it is 50/50. I do buy sealed wax mostly retail as i refuse to pay 1000 for a hobby box. I buy some leaf hobby boxes. I know unlicensed but to me they are cool. I also purchase many single cards on ebay. When i sell a card i inspect the card and i am honest if there is anything really wrong with it. I will document that on the post. Unfortunately when I buy singles you see the pics but some sellers are honest and some are not. If i do not feel a card is a 10 I wont send it. I use the centering tool and do a deep dive but my system must be flawed. LOL

This is mainly a hobby for me to collect. I am not making any real money selling raw or graded cards. It is a rush to rip product and find great deals with singles but it is a hobby that i pretend it is a business.

Getting a 10 on a die-cut card is so hard, that Jordan Love select purple is a solid card to get that on. I've been doing 60-90 card submissions with CGC, not as much of a gut punch when you get a low grade.

@@Jtbone_sports_cards CGC slabs are clear with rounded corners, I prefer their slabs over PSA the grade font is bigger and easier to read. I did a 58 card reveal of my first submission if you are curious about the looks.

I just had a guy send me a damaged card he tried to blame shipping but package was fine then he bought one of my cards of course I canceled then he left negative feedback which I had eBay erase but they wouldn't delete the negative rating so now I went from 100 to 99.5 and eBay won't change it what sense does that make

Don't give negative feedback. That should be for something that you can't resolve with seller. I got a fake card shipped to me. Seller said it wasn't fake but it clearly was. Got my money back but I didn't leave negative. Seller blocked me though even though it wasn't my fault it was fake..

Agreed. In this case it was resolved by communication. I have had situations where a seller charges 5.50 and uses PWE with .64 cent postage. That was NOT the case with this seller. He purchased ground postage. He said in the future he would use a bubble mailer.

Great communication with the seller. He is fairly new and was concerned about shipping insurance. He has now ordered bubble mailers and will adjust his shipping process. Positive feedback left. I hate leaving negative feedback unless the transaction is a scam or the seller is a monster.

That is very strange. It is always the opposite. Sellers charging 4-6 for shipping and purchasing a .64 cent stamp. This is the opposite he paid the ground cost with real tracking and just threw it in an envelope like he did not care or maybe he ran out of bubble mailers.

You are missing something on the cards. I personally have cracked and resubmitted with success but I usually crack othet companies and send to PSA. I will crack 8s amd below IF i think he was graded wrong especially modern cards.

Psa be a fool not to record cards with serial numbers on them. They do population control to make their cards worth more, why would they lower their brand by saying a specific card is a 7 and then say it's a 9. The only cards I have that I'd send in are serial numbered so maybe I'm just foolish and don't trust them blindly.

No i agree and i am sure they must keep track of numbered cards making this a failure in resubmission. I will not waste any more cash on these 2. I highly doubt i would ever crack another slab. This was just a test and a dopey one at that. LOL

Would recommend checking out CGC. Can grade for half the cost and the slabs look great. Not as much of a gut punch. Would recommend a few bright ring lights and a 10x magnifying glass review before submitting. Back of the cards can weigh a lot in the grade, easy to miss when the front looks perfect.

The LT is not a licensed autograph correct? It's in person, so they won't grade the card without authenticating the auto, would be dual service for it
