I’m happy thre way we played last year- it was the first year for our O.C. And I would say that he did a good job

From my point of view is that we have to have patience-- remember- this is Also the first year for our O.C. And putting a team together takes a couple years- I know this year we will be a better team than last year and it is possible that the schedule that we play the record may not be any better but our play will be better- so I’m looking to the future and for me it looks bright- thank you

Congrats on a heck of a season for Purdue though. Still should be proud. Correct...getting to a final four is tremendous.

Personally Brian, you need to cut the chit chat and stick to what's in the tag line: Purdue basketball. I frequently click on your video and when I see it's 40+ minutes long ... I'm outa there! I don't have time to sit around while you talk about hotels or whatever. I would be interested if you had any actual news and only if the vid was 10 minutes or less.

Finally some intelligent discorse on what seems to be a normal sort of teenage drama situation. Wouldn't it be something to see BYU v PU at some point this season...

FYI, I had to beg to graduate from Purdue’s Krannert school because of not putting much effort into school versus other activities, clubs, co-rec, frat, etc. Rarely did I ever go to the Purdue library…….but almost every time I ever did go …..Joe Barry Carrol was always there. He is definitely very very cerebral, and I consider him as one of the smartest 7-footers in B-10 and Purdue history. He also runs his own investment firm along with his art ability. Nice interview, Neil is now the other smart center on that same team from PU.

Paint plays the long game. More people should try that. Keep Gillis probablyfor 1 more year probably costs us Heide and/or Colvin for 3 years because they proabably weren't too eager to get limited minutes AGAIN next season. Mason gave us 5 solid years, playing 4 of them. WE should be thankful for THAT! If not for COVID it wouldn't even be a possibility. Get over it.

I thought it was cool to hear him explain/dispel myths around not only the Kanon Catchings situation, but also the springtime conversations with the senior class. Cool to hear it from the man himself. He's an honest broker for his players and his program. Proud he represents Purdue Basketball.

The members of the Purdue Basketball TEAM - in addition to being outstanding players - are more importantly INCREDIBLE young MEN. TKR is game-set-match evidence of that fact. I am so proud these outstanding men represent MY University!

IF you look in the dictionary for a definition of "shooting guard from the state of Indiana" ---there is a picture of Fletch. This kid is underrated. I want this player taking 3s, taking pull up jumpers, making the extra pass for a mate to hit a 3, at the free throw line when game is on the line, throwing the ball in from out of bounds. In other words, he does so much stuff so well. He gets lots of key rebounds but could get a few more ... takes the ball to the hoop, driving far better than you might expect. Along with Braden, he is part of fastest and best start through Sophomore year of any backcourt in Purdue history. If he never played another game at Purdue.... his career was and is already a smashing success and you could not tell the long-term story of Purdue basketball without mentioning his name ....

So as I see it, loosing Zach was huge for this team. There was a few very very tight games where the ball went in to him and he scored. He was just hat good. Now who is going to make that shot when it comes down and they are down by 1 with say 20 seconds to go in the game? Yes some are capable of it, and almost anyone can hit a shot, but who can do it in crunch time when the game is on the line? Then we have defense. Last year only the best players in the nation came in at Zach. A 7 foot 4 dude who was somewhat fast and could and did block shots. He covered for some poor guard defense from Purdue. This year? Is that TKR? A 6'10 dude who is good but a far cry from 7'4". So the defense needs to be a LOT better. Specifically guards bowing by. I personally don't see Heide at a 4 without a huge change to the team play. Something I guess Painter could do. I see him at the 3. I really think Purdue wants a crazy tall center along with TKR on the floor at the same time. Which one plays 4 or 5 doesn't matter as much.
@mikeb1039
@mikeb1039 11 күн бұрын
Agreed that if TKR is playing 5 you're probably not seeing a lot of Cam at 4. But if Jabobson or Berg can guard centers and shoot it ok from distance then you can play them outside and TKR in the post and switch on the other end. I think of Cam overpowering other 3's (in time), interesting that he thinks in terms of having a speed advantage at 4. Team rebounding will be a part of who plays up front.
