Well that weight pocket is new to me; so my question is ..Does that completely take the place of having to wear a weight belt ?? .. I've lost pocket weight ; weight belts, and tank belts when diving in some rough waters.. Gotten myself in more than one hairy situation in my days.. Need something that can stand up to my.. maybe I should have thought twice about going in the water today, dives.

The short answer is no weight belt by using integrated BCD weight systems... The bolt uses a "unique" lock-in system... Regards Bob C

A favorite trip for me while stationed in Sardinia, was to motorcycle up into Austria and base myself in a little hotel in Mutters outside Innsbruck. Not really more difficult, but a slightly bigger stride to your kick and of course you're not wearing all the extra gear that causes drag during scuba.

I bought an Apex regulator with you guys a few years ago and love it. However, because it is a DIN, I bought an adapter (from another store) so I could use it overseas. Arriving at my destination, I found out that the knob screw was too short for any cylinder yoke valve they had (Caribbean). Luckily, the bolt had an extra regulator and we switched the yoke screws for a regular length one. I’m not familiar with yoke cylinder valves, so I wonder if they come in more than one size or if it was an oversight of the manufacturer. Cheers.
@DiversSupplyYT
@DiversSupplyYT 15 күн бұрын
Hi VOV, Interesting question but it's true there are various, let's call it thicknesses, of valves. Especially over the years, MFG's and world locations that could account for your issue. There's also slight differences in the design of "A Clamps" also known as Yokes where the top has bigger / wider shoulders. There are also Yoke Screws where the inside of the Cap has various depths to contact the top /shoulders of the A Clamp. Without having direct access to the gear, kinda hard for me to point at the exact problem. Thanks for your question. Regards Bob C

say, thoughts on this vs the Aqualung Dimension ?? warm water, travel, recreation. does the hybrid add stability after the dive, waiting say for the boat in chop, or not a big deal either way ?? (we have about 100 dives with rental jackets, so these would be our first purchase, )
@DiversSupplyYT
@DiversSupplyYT 20 күн бұрын
The Dimension is a very good BC, but to me the Axiom is like a back inflate underwater and like a jacket style on the surface. I really dislike BI BCDs on the surface. Can you get accustom to the leaning back, sure you can, but why deal with that... Thanks for your note. Bob C

Can you expand on the difference between monprene and monoprene? I can find references to each but no comparison. Is it a flexibility and grip difference? I’m very curious! Thanks!
@DiversSupplyYT
@DiversSupplyYT 19 күн бұрын
Monprene® elastomers - Are composed of saturated styrene block copolymer rubbers and thermoplastic olefin resins. Ideal for applications requiring stretch, flexibility and soft-touch feel. Monoprene resin - Is a thermoplastic elastomer, looks and performs like rubber with lighter weight. Grip tends to go to Mono goods.

Bob Please tell me the advantage if the Zeagle manual inflate configuration. You say simple design, what do you mean by that? Thanks for the video. Steve
@DiversSupplyYT
@DiversSupplyYT 19 күн бұрын
Steve, When I say simple I'm referring to the large and angular design of the Infl/Deflator. Some inflators/deflators are very sleek, compact with buttons and oral opening built-in vs the industrial look of the Zeagle unit.

My daughter has been diving her Zina for 13 years (I bought it for her as a Christmas present after she earned her OW certification). She absolutely loves it. She says that once it’s adjusted it is the easiest BCD to don - slide arms in and zip it up - that’s it! Also, it is very stable and does not slide around at all.

Hi Guys! I changed the battery on my Leonardo and lost all the data. With the new battery on the backlight, beeps, and section lines. I reached out to Cressi and was asked for proof of purchase, which I sent to them. It was 2020. They had me ship it (USPS $9.60 priority) and reflashed it and sent back, no charge in 10 days. It seems to be a known problem, seeing others post on the web. Cressi backed their product, quickly fixed, and returned to me. Great customer service from Cressi.

We bought these and thoroughly regret the purchase: The Dive app will not open unless you have an LTE or wi-fi connection. The Connect app is completely cloud-based (all data disappears when not connected to at least LTE) so if you are on a live aboard boat you have nothing. The underwater messaging is gimmicky and within another menu so not very practical under water. Garmin support is abysmal. 45 minutes, 20 minutes and over two hour wait times this week alone. And then, even though you selected the option for the Descent MkIII, you get general customer service who doesn't know the watch well. They told me that there are very few people at Garmin who actually know the watch. The bezel is soft and scratches easily. The base of the transmitters are wider than other transmitters and won't fit on some octos without a pigtail. We really regret buying these.

Great video, after all these years, still good. Axiom in Europe is 700€ and Axiom i3 is 350€. Is it really worth it ? What do you think about Axiom i3 ?
@DiversSupplyYT
@DiversSupplyYT Ай бұрын
Thanks much for the comment and Axiom question. I have done a few hundred dives in both versions standard and i3 model. - When I owned the i3, the amount of internal maintenance required, was just beyond the convenience of the unit's operating mechanisms. * Just being able to simply place my hand on the lever was wonderful. - As an Instructor Trainer, for my gear to be closer to what my candidates were using, I added a left shoulder Inflator/Deflator / Pull Dump Hose in place of the oral inflator tube. - Sadly, since I teach more than I fun dive, my Axiom is more work BCD than fun BCD. Because of that I stick to the Standard Axiom, kinda like having heated mirrors on my Jeep Gladiator here in Florida... Thanks for asking. Bob C

The bottom Purge Vent is one of the best additions to snorkels, the upper "what I call Flapper" works pretty good too. When it comes to the inner double wall of the Atomic version well that gives me a certain level of pause, before I'd become a true fan. I will agree with Mr/Mrs/Ms/They Melikesleepy that having that extra 3-4"s above your head in rougher water can be a benefit in more than calm seas. Yes we all know that if you're a real diver you know how to clear a snorkel, even a J model. Regards Bob C

Great Video Bob, and makes all the sense to load Nitrox on those huge tanks, because Nitrox extends our NDL, and in most cases is the best choice to any dive, except those that go beyond Nitrox depth limits ofc though what I have learned with huge heavy tanks specially steel ones like we have here in Europe, the 15 liter, the 18 liter and the super Jumbo 20 liter, is that is not easy to dive with a solo tank above the 15 liter "HP 117 equivalent", tanks are to heavy and to cumbersome, it is better to get a wing and 2 smaller tanks, for example, in the case of the 20 liter "the heaviest and biggest tank" it is better to have a wing with bis 10 liter tanks , a lot more stable and pleasant to the diver, and you have some redundancy.
