These are the best vids I've seen. Just simplifies things. Too much junk out there. I've got so many baits and lures that I don't even need.

I've aleays felt you can tell someone where you caught fish at and what bait to use. It doesn't mean you'll catch them. I've seen it on my boat first hand. I was usimg trickworms and slaying them. My partner wasn't getting any hits. I gave him trickworms and he still didn't catch anything. Our club believes in sharing so we all try to get better the way it should be.

Senkos came out before you tube, it took a long time to figure out how to use correctly, and it was by accident. I set my rod down to do something, and probably 30 seconds on the bottom before a biggun picked it up. Lesson learned! Also noticed that it pays to change hooks if they won’t bite, a 3 aught ewg might give it the perfect wiggle on the way down, but the next day it’s gotta be something different

Yes sir!!! Speaking 100% facts and ones parents should all explain to their kids and just future generations. Also this pertains to almost anything you do in life. Always remember the pros make money and it’s their literal job to try to sell these items. If you just like gear and just like to look at pictures or videos of fish or animals or whatever your into then buy not needed gear but it’s 100% not needed to do well at whatever you’re doing.

lol you don’t catch many fish it shows. Having the correct rod per bait is probably the most important key in your arsenal. Go throw a 10XD on a 7ft rod tell me how that goes for you..

"Medium" quality seems to be a good place to be. 20 years ago I picked up 3 shimano stradic reels. They have countless hours on them and are still chooching right along. I keep them oiled/greased so bearing and bushing wear hasn't happened a whole lot. They are approaching worn out, but I busted a lot of "cheap" gear since buying those. So get good enough that it will last you a while, but stop there. There is a quality point where the longevity and price point will save you money in the long run. Also, do yourself a favor and stay away from "house" brand rods and reels. Even if they feel/work great initially they almost never hold up in the long run. Even their "high end" stuff. Had I spent the same money in the same price point on good brands it would probably still be chooching along..

@@KrakenBass okay thats cool but what your saying are "mistakes" is absolutely wrong an thats a fact. My favorite way to fish senkos is with a jig head an cause it will catch big fish evertime. I use a 3/0 weighted hook to fish wacky style witch you say is a mistake but your so wrong. There is no possible way you would say them 5 things are the wrong way to fish a senko if you actually tried to fish a senko them 5 ways because i did try all 5 ways you said is the wrong way to fish with senkos an all 5 ways had no problem catching bass sometimes better than the way you say to rig senkos. I cant find a bad way to fish a senko an ive tried so to me you saying "mistakes" is just flat out wrong an miss leading

I agree and disagree with this take. I tournament fish and there are guys that consistently do well with none of the fancy bells and whistles, they find patterns that work for them based off of their years of trial and error. But you see way more often than not, the guys that combine experience with the higher end rods/baits/electronics end up winning tournaments. The most valuable thing you can do to get better at bass fishing is time on the water and no matter what you use, if you don’t get out there and learn for yourself you will never get better. When you combine time on the water and knowledge of all the tools you can get access to, that is when you get to the pro/expert level. But you can definitely get good and have fun in a tin boat and an ugly stick.
