Softball was invented so women could feel like they could play baseball, shorter field, easier to spot colored ball, bigger ball to hit, closer mound to the plate because they can't even throw on a mans level, the "fastest" softball pitch is below what men call a slow ball. How could someone pose this question with a straight face lol. Next video gonna be "is the WNBA harder with shorted 3 line and smaller ball???

I remember being a freshman in high school hit 2 home runs in back to back games, one being a grand slam . After these games, I would I strike out AB the next three 4 games, smashing my confidence

Just a thought, with the big front leg stride, and the compensation tactic to "sink" to get "back on time", changes the eyes plane of sight... IMO- keeping eyes on a single level plane increases the contact... If you can sink that back leg and keep eyes on the same plane- thats good- widen stance decrease stride- keeping eyes on plane... how much does a short-non-stride vs. high leg-long stride effect swing velocity? What about contact consistency? How about incorrect timing- fooled- on off speed? I am seeing late in the season pitchers are using outside part of the plate a lot more often than inside half- makes sense- early I the season they are getting jammed and later in the season they are catching up on the inside half. hard to preach an inside out swing early in the season- but as the season goes on, I would definitely switch to an inside out swing- and the pitchers are throwing a lot more breaking/off speed pitches later in the season- unless they throw 95+... just my thoughts! Peace! Enjoyed the video, get some Knee pads for the demonstrator!! LOL!

Summer ball here in NW Georgia has largely become a scam. There are promises of college and pro scouts watching kids but it doesn’t happen. They recruit through the high schools. In my opinion it’s actually making kids worse. The pitchers throw a little harder and the hitters hit a little harder. However, they are fundamentally terrible. Their instincts are bad. They can’t run bases or steal. Defense is awful. I see supposedly “highly recruited” players drop lazy fly balls all the time. The parents are all like “Errors happen. It’s part of the game.” It’s not. You don’t see poor fundamentals at the highest levels of the game. Dominican and Japanese players are slowly taking over MLB because they are better all around players than what American baseball is currently producing.

Bro, you are so on the money with this. I hate when dudes try and teach thescissor move, makes absolutely no sense to teach that as a primaryHitting move. It’s a result of balance shift after the swing has already happened. So glad to hear you say this. Also, Great post and information with the gas leg and brake leg. Huge Dylan Crews fan.

Very impressed. Been watching and digesting as much as possible as coaching 12U including summer All Stars. My son is a talented hitter but can hit with so much more power. I was a pretty good pitcher back in the day. Threw 88mph at 16. Agree 110%. Cranking it up and seriously, seriously challenging batters can have immense benefits during the game. I throw my son about 65-70 mph including sliders and pretty decent breaking balls. I can certainly strike out my son if I am throwing to do it. But when I just throw 70 mpg fastballs? Kids is on top of them. Kid has no fear of them. And kid is an amazing hitter in game times. Struck out twice during regular season and that was early. Proof in the pudding. Problem is, soon I wont be able to throw hard enough. Gonna have to teach my old bones to get better with the off speed stuff! Subscribed and gonna watch many more.

You can't teach "drive your knee down." That is just the end result of what's going on with the pelvis and the rear legged coil.

Great training techniques. Such a simple breakdown of the various points of a swing. Makes sense to break down and isolate each point of the swing. Definitely using these drills for my son.

The best way to get better is to play and it’s better to play against the best competition possible. I trained at a state of the art indoor facility all winter every year and it was great, but it didn’t compare to actually playing in the summer. Also just a note. I was a right handed pitcher 86-88. Played at an elite JC and then D1. Don’t overlook JCs the best ones are often better than mid level D1s.

No.. don’t throw the back leg down, that is the effect of moving properly not the cause. This would also disrupt the Kinetic chain
