Thanks for cluing me in to this video. Another great job, it's just that you missed my house almost completely. But that's okay, you didn't know. Keep up the great work!!

Excellent video, brought back some memories. If you do Bayonne again could you do a walk down 34th street? That's where I lived and grew up. Thanks!

I graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1967 (all boys back then). This video gave me my first look at the school (3:54) since then. Hard to believe it's been 57 years! The area around the school looks much different now than back then. Thanks for the memories.

Oh my goodness this area has changed SO much. But those huge towers, I remember those. I was always afraid to run by them because I thought I'd get electrocuted lol

I see the rain still pools up at the tennis courts, same low spot as it was 60 years ago. The park is much more developed than when it was my playground.

I grew up in Rutherford from 53-68. ER looks really spruced up with tax $$$ from Meadowlands development. Back then the Meadowlands featured acrid smoldering garbage dumps along S-3, all the way to the smelly Hackensack River. Along the border with R on Erie Avenue, there was a sweet smelling, polluting detergent factory. ER was nothing to cheer about! They’ve since made the area near the station into a ye olde townish bar entertainment hub based on ER not being dry like Rutherford. After church, we’d drive down the street where the tour begins in a ‘59 Caddie to Patterson Avenue, the street where the municipal building is. I think it was a HS then. There, we’d buy food for Sunday brunch at a really nice German deli. Bagels, marinated herring, Jewish rye bread, blueberry pie, salami, cheese, dill pickles, things like that. Yikes, that food was so good! I’d snack on that while working my way through the NYT on the LR floor of our house on Orient Way. In those days, it was a challenge, because the NYT was hefty indeed: one edition in 1965 weighed over 7 lbs! It took me all week to ingest it.
