Very disappointing sound. I own the Focal lab 1028BE and they sound way better in every way. Brighter and deep bass. My amplifier is the Accuphase E-650. I was looking for replacing my Focals for the SF. But listening to them now, i am very disappointed about the sound. So i will keep them then.

Ive owned both of these powered by various amps ML335, Krell FPB350's and pair Mc 462. Supratek dual bi amp tube pre and Mc c2700 . I still have the Sonetto Viii. The B&W's were returned. Demo in person and dont rely on these video's. You are not getting the most important variable "sound imaging"

Accuphase is definitely better for classical music. It is more transparent, better resolution and bigger soundstage

Neither of the two is dynamic and rhythmic, musical in one word. I prefer Plinius, Naim, and Bryston. Have the listener dance.

Il volume del modello attuale è molto più alto.Non prenderei nessuno dei due soprattutto il modello nuovo.Marchio che non mi entusiasma. In questo modo sono ingiudicabili

I prefer the JBL in this video. B&W 801 started out as my "end game, dream speaker" but I've learned that I love the JBL sound and their compression horns. Great video that was very well done and shows the sound "in the room". Thank you!

She sounds natural on the SF and congested on the B & W; more real more present more like live with the SF and sounding reproduced on the B&W; wow big differences; thank you for doing this comparison

The way the tannoy and the Accuphase are voiced is why they don't work well together for my taste. The wave guide in the tannoy and the the accuphase mid band tends to over work the delivery. I like both independently of each other and it's important to match components correctly in audio systems to create positive synergy I really like the look and sound of Accuphase amplifiers and have heard them making very engaging music with other speakers.

Bel sistema ma difficile da giudicare a distanza.Mi sembra di sentire un po' di soffio sugli acuti tipici delle trombe e i medi un po' leggeri ma attraverso il pc non dice niente.

Alla Sonus faber, l' idea che il tweeter serva per dare la giusta tonalità a tutto il diffusore, sembra che faccia parte del loro bagaglio tecnico...a differenza della B&W, che il tweeter lo fanno suonare a squarcia gola...a mio avviso con pessimi risultati...

A so tiny difference between 2 amp of the same category (listen with Focal Stellia headphone). So many difference between 2 speakers of the same price.

La voce è molto più presente rispetto alle sonus faber, per il resto urge un ascolto più approfondito, ma nn dal cellulare o PC, per dare ulteriori pareri delle differenze tra i due diffusori.

Ascoltavo le Wilson Audio Sophia con un McIntosh nuovo da 200watt. Ci arrivava al pelo. Dice che il Nelson Pass da 60watt che aveva prima andava meglio. Lo so' bene. Questa cosa dipende dai trasformatori d'uscita. Ho fatto la stessa cosa con le Dahlquist DQ10 e il Macintosh da 200watt si siedeva proprio,un Sansui BA 5.000 da 300watt vu meter al massimo,metto su un Mark Levinson 331 da 100watt e andava in scioltezza.

un confronto a video ascoltato con un pc o un cel è semplicemente impossibile, ma così, per puro gioco, fingendo sia pur lontanamente probante, sembra che le JBL cerchino di trapanarti il timpano da parte a parte e si' che le sta pilotando un mcintosh....

ti assicuro che quell'ampli si sente davvero bene. Lo acquistai per pura curiosità e ne sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. Sono 50W belli pieni, con bassi corposi (regolabili) con corrente sufficiente per far funzionare molti diffusori. Io l'ho tenuto nel mio studio per qualche anno dopo ho deciso di metterlo in camera di mio figlio Adesso ne ho acquistato un altro con questa promozione in corso per metterlo in camera di mia figlia.
