These look very similar to "firesticks" used for the drills to make a fire easier. I pulled up some photos of them, and some look almost identical, but without the little "sworls" at the top edge.

Hello, does anyone know what the exact name for the GI Joe soldiers at 0:21 are? I know they are American, but I can’t find them on eBay or anywhere else as I don’t know the name.

I wouldn’t say “professional” as locals know this guy intentionally runs full speed over peoples holes WHILE they’re fishing them. Not only that, but drives illegally too close to other boaters trying to ruin their fishing, so he looks better when his boat catches fish and nobody else does

Oklahoma City's Asian District is a vibrant cultural enclave located in the northwest part of the city. It's a hub for Asian-American communities, particularly those of Vietnamese descent, and offers a rich blend of cultural, culinary, and commercial experiences. Here are some highlights and key points about the district: ### History and Culture - **Establishment**: The Asian District began to take shape in the 1970s, following the Vietnam War, when a significant number of Vietnamese refugees settled in Oklahoma City. - **Cultural Diversity**: While predominantly Vietnamese, the district is also home to other Asian communities, including Chinese, Korean, and Thai populations. - **Cultural Events**: The district hosts various cultural events, such as the annual Lunar New Year celebrations, which feature traditional music, dance, and food. ### Landmarks and Attractions - **Asia Plaza**: A central shopping and dining complex that serves as a focal point for the district, featuring numerous Asian restaurants, grocery stores, and specialty shops. - **Vietnamese Buddhist Temple**: Known as the Chùa Tam Bảo, this temple is a spiritual center for the Vietnamese community and a place of interest for visitors. - **Super Cao Nguyen**: One of the largest Asian supermarkets in the region, offering a wide range of Asian groceries, fresh produce, and unique ingredients. ### Cuisine The Asian District is renowned for its diverse and authentic Asian cuisine. Some popular dining spots include: - **Pho Lien Hoa**: Famous for its pho, a traditional Vietnamese noodle soup. - **Lido Restaurant**: Offers a variety of Vietnamese dishes, including their popular banh mi sandwiches. - **Grand House Asian Bistro**: Known for its dim sum and extensive menu of Chinese dishes. ### Community and Services - **Community Organizations**: Several nonprofit organizations operate in the district, providing services such as language classes, cultural education, and social support for immigrants and refugees. - **Healthcare Services**: The district is home to clinics and healthcare providers that cater to the specific needs of the Asian community. ### Accessibility and Transportation - **Location**: The Asian District is roughly located between NW 23rd Street and NW 30th Street, along Classen Boulevard. - **Public Transit**: The area is accessible via public transportation, with several bus routes serving the district. ### Economic Impact - **Small Businesses**: The district is a thriving economic area with numerous small businesses, including restaurants, bakeries, salons, and retail shops. - **Real Estate**: The district has seen growth in real estate development, with new businesses and residential properties contributing to its economic vitality. ### Conclusion Oklahoma City's Asian District is a testament to the rich cultural tapestry and entrepreneurial spirit of the city's Asian-American community. Whether you're looking to explore new cuisines, participate in cultural events, or simply enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, the Asian District offers a unique and enriching experience.

Life can be strange and weird. With all the issues people, groups races have fought and strived for in a Erica as well world wish this seems a little more bland compared to like owning people or the government coverups sorry 8 mean they don't do that but it's a freedom. 👍👍And I heard someone say dance like no one is 👀👀👀👀

When I was growing up in the 50s and 60s I recall Oxy 24 and his robot on 2 wheel robot. I made a model of the robot out of a grape juice can and a tuna can and cut the 2 wheels out of a board. But I have looked anlooked on the internet but have not found those 2 Alley Oop characters pictured anywhere.

The son of Overholser Sr. was dating a particularly attractive young damsel who was introduced to her possible future father - in - law who was quite taken with her , and stole her away from his son and married her. She ended up living in the house until she passed. Their only child a daughter Henry Ione Overholser Perry also lived out her life in the house. At one time the carriage house contained a charging station for their Baker Electric automobile. I believe the Henry Overholser line is now extinct at least as far as Oklahoma City is concerned.
