Don't know why KZfaq recommended this to me but the torque on this thing has gotta be like 0.1 Nm at that speed
@ptmove

You are absolutely right. But it should be noted that there aren't many drivers that can spin a NEMA34 stepper motor at such a high RPM. There is no loss of position even without feedback. Stepper motors are not even designed to run at such high RPMs. The idea is to make the torque available at low and mid-high revs. The aim is to show that the MST-109 driver can be counted on to deliver slightly higher torque at low to medium high speed stepper motor speeds compared to other available stepper motor drivers

looks like the thing i need to make a variable transmission i need to set the up and down motoion using a closed loop steppermotor fitted with a crank to the exact rotation of an electric motor fitted with an encoder the whole setup is a honing machine based on a drillpress , i need the up and down motion in combination with the spinning (bout 800rpm to create a 45 degree honing pattern , and if the bore gets larger or smaller that pattern changes (as the honing stones move faster or slower along the wall depending on the diameter using the same rpm )

Is there a way to use the okuma drives and servo for the retrofit ??
@ptmove
@ptmove 2 жыл бұрын
If I understand well, the question is: Is it possible to keep existing original Okuma servo amplifiers and servo motor on CNC machine? Original servo amplifiers usually require analog signal +/-10V. Some of our customers uses our DC servo drive DCS-100-A for such machine retrofit. Please check ideas shown on web pages: www.audiohms.com/en/customers-gallery/dc-servo-motor-drives/item/259-alcera-gambin-cnc-en www.audiohms.com/en/customers-gallery/dc-servo-motor-drives/item/262-dye-cnc-en www.audiohms.com/en/customers-gallery/dc-servo-motor-drives/item/260-cnc-wood-retrofit If you have more data about our electronics, please send it to me on e-mail: [email protected] Best regards

@ptmove
@ptmove 2 жыл бұрын
