This is/was our boat. We had anchored in V Cove for the night and were caught by a freak storm coming in from the North; we tried every way to get out of the cove but the anchor gave way and the heavy seas drove us into the rocks. Our Mayday call at 2:30 am was ignored by the port authorities, only two crew members from a M/Y answered, came ten miles in a tender to help us, and risked their own lives to save ours. As you can see the dinghy and lifeboat were lost and our only option was to catch a rope they tossed to each of us, jump into the 4' swells and try to hang on until we could get dragged to their boat. It was terrifying and only by the grace of God that we made it out alive. It's sad to see that people assume the worst, we did everything we could to avoid this outcome; I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone and can only express endless thanks to the two young men who came and got us in a two hour rescue effort. When they brought us back to their M/Y the family chartering it took us in like two drowned rats and took care of us all day. We are working through the insurance company to have a team remove the boat, which is a complete loss, so sad as we've made wonderful family memories on that boat, but we are grateful to be alive to tell the tale.

That boat is destroyed, no matter how they try to rebuild it, once salt water gets, sets in, damage seen & unseen, pass on this one, not worth it !

for sure was a total loss.

Wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if these situations were set up by the thieves in those parts.

The title should be: "Ignorant Captain sank his boat and abandoned it to humanoid sharks".

An easy trick to get rid of mask condensation is to first wash the glass pane inside with toothpaste (don't rinse it too much afterward). You'll see much better. I know this has been commented before, but honestly I think underwater audio is fine on its own, no need to add music (or if you do, chill electronic is generally better suited to a larger audience) ;) Nice vid, keep posting about your adventures, gotta say I'm jealous!
