for me pulling out the water pump being careful with wires made it a little easier. the tubing that connecting can manuever just stuck on with some weak glue. in alot of models it is a tight fit to get tubing off.

help I have a HNIM27ST that has an issue with the upper tray. I was able to mimic the tray's action of it's actuator (left side as you look at it) that closes the micro switches and got the unit to pump water, start the compressor, and have the metal tubes get real cold. So that tells me the pump is good, the microswitches are good and compressor is good...Just something physical with the tray is not letting the tray move. I can hear the tray's motor doing it's thing as I can heat the gizmo around the tray clocking. do you have a video of getting to the tray components? I can seem to figure out how to get the top off to access it. I am hoping it is not something broken....but if it is do you have a link for the parts.

Even with an Allen wrench I still cannot remove it. It’s just stuck. It’s also at a very unfortunate angle that gives me less leverage. I don’t know what to do. And affording help is not an option so please don’t suggest it. What can I do? Thank you.

Yeah I like to take things apart and fix them too, but I have no idea what I'm doing so if its broke then its gonna be really broke when I get done with it. And it could have been whoever built it at the factorys hair.

I thought I wouldn't be able to use it anymore I just got this 2 days old Hicon ice maker it was working when it arrived then after a day suddenly it stopped pumping water. You're a life saver
