Such a ridiculous fantasy. The princess here was actually a child that had never left France at that point. 🙄

How they paint Isabella in this movie, smh. In real life she was called the She Wolf. She had a man castrated and disemboweled for entertainment while she watched and ate dinner. She probably had her husband, Edward II, murdered. Tough lady in real life.

I cant believe so many trolls trash Braveheart every chance they get while they praise equally inaccurate movies like Gladiator until theyre blue in the face. Both movies are masterpieces of cinema. Both have great heroes, great villains and great action scenes. No one really cares if Gladiator is inaccurate but they care way too much about Bravehearts inaccuracies. I just think its because of Mel Gibson and his brutal honesty about Hollywood

These lines are positively like those of the Great Bard himself, and that is no compliment. William S. was always having great line spoken by people who in a million years, would never have uttered them....

This meeting never happened. Isabella was a child in France during the Wallace rebellion. Whenever I see people holding this movie up as a masterpiece of historical drama all I can do is laugh. So fake, so wrong on just about every account. A good story but that’s all it is, a story. Not real.
